Had the most terrible experience tonight! Been visiting this store for 9years now but today been my last I decided to leave them a little review so the management can work on their customers service since he came out introduced himself as the manager yet couldn’t apologize on behalf of Paige(cashier) for throwing my id on the table telling me to pick it up even tho I had given it to her in her hands. Went to buy money order but left my car running as I thought I was going in and out since it was a slow day, but instead spent 45mins in there been asked my id and social security and I asked why but Paige(cashier) got offended because she thought I was doing a fraudulent transaction since I was looking outside to check on my car! Gave her my id but I needed an explanation why my social security was been asked! Then I asked to speak to a manager! Even worse he came out spoke rudely, no greetings nothing and asked do you have the required? Are we proceeding with this transaction? Wow a store manager!!! Well thought I put this out here to save someone else from feeling terrible! Not everyone is coming to commit fraud! Give us a chance!!!! Some of us work hard and just want to live and enjoy our labor! They even had a security lady stand and watched me till I finished my transaction! Why??? Just why??? You lost a customer of 9years tonight! Will go where they train their staffs how to give outstanding customer service and not to suspect every customer that walks...
Read moreThe two stars are for some of the cashiers that provide great customer service and the neat and well-stocked aisles. The lack of stars is for what I witnessed ahead of me in line yesterday. An elderly customer whose phone number did not work to receive the store discount was not extended a courtesy discount even though she said that she had been a customer for 35 years. I thought that was pretty heartless. On another visit, the store was crowded, the lines were long and a new register was opened. The cashier, a middle-aged woman with a light complexion and a mole on her face, called for the next in line. The customer behind me tapped me on the shoulder and pointed to the newly opened register and I walked over. The cashier looked up at me and exclaimed loudly, "You weren't next in line, he was!" She was pointing to the customer behind me that had tapped me on the shoulder. The customer behind me and I told her that I was in fact the next customer and she just stood there staring at me like she was angry. Other customers in line told her that I was next in line too. I wonder what she was thinking going back and forth with everyone in line about whether I was next or not. Honestly, after these experiences I am hesitant to ever...
Read moreCurrently sitting in the parking lot of this Food Lion on Laurel/Bowie rd. The level of customer service I received could not wait the 5 min drive back home. My Wife mistakenly got a pack of string cheese that was expired this morning, no big deal I didn’t mind coming to the store in the afternoon when I got off work, it’s only 5 mins away. I walked in explained the situation to who I assume is the store manager (blue shirt) who was manning the customer service area. He let me know it was ok to switch out and walked back to the freezer with me to make sure I got a good pack of string cheese. Walked me back to the front and started ringing up the new pack to account for the switch in the system (or so I thought, I worked retail and was familiar with what needs to happen for a return/exchange) to my surprise he gave me a full cash refund for the pack of string cheese for the inconvenience! Completely unexpected and was completely happy with just a switch. Thank you Mr. Store Manager! In todays current climate where everyone is quick to point out the negative, I wanted to be quick to highlight this exceptional service...
