Stay AWAY if you care about your safety and autonomy as a patient. This Dr Mosque recommended me braces and something else which was super horrible for me. I had TMJD and according to research and many patients in the TMJD community, braces has caused a progression in their TMJD and can ever lead to severe Idiopathic Condylar reabsorption ICR . He claimed it’s super rare but no it’s not they’re connected and TMJD is super common. There are Facebook groups for both ICR/ TMJD if you suffer from any one of them. Unfortunately , this Dr is very OLD SCHOOL and refuses to stay up to date on NEW evidence based research and listen to his patients. At the end of the day , a patient knows their body best . He was abusive demanded that I “listen to him” trying to take away my autonomy. I knew something wasn’t right and I immediately took the braces off with a different orthodontist. He deserves a lawsuit for trying to harm me. When you go to medical school, you take an OATH to NOT harm. If you don’t want to be SAFE and want someone who stays up to date and keeps learning , do NOT see this Dr. Be with a Dr that listens to you as a patient or you as a parent to...

Dr. Mosquera is a very passionate and professional Orthodontist. "No pain, no gain " he would say if I wanted an A smile. He was totally correct about it. Im very happy with my smile "Looks like you will be having Turkey without braces" were the words he surprised me with before he took off my braces. He's funny like that. What I admired most about him was that he would teach his staff all that he can in the process. His staff is very organized and advanced, very knowledgeable. They genuinely care about their patients. I love that his office is an art museum, he promotes artists and their work. Every time I would go in, there was always something different on the walls. It definitely was never boring there. I feel like he is always trying to help someone in addition to their smile. If you' re looking for the perfect smile, he is the best person for it with a team...

I do not recommend this orthodontist. He placed an acrylic bite block on me without fully explaining what it was for or the risks involved. I later learned this appliance is intended for deep bites something I did not have and it caused me to develop an open bite. Instead of acknowledging the damage, he repeatedly told me to do tongue exercises and insisted it was my fault. I wasted over a year being told to ‘be patient’ while nothing improved.

When I expressed frustration, he deflected and acted as if he was the one wronged. The entire experience was gaslighting and unprofessional. This doctor knew (or should have known) exactly what the appliance would do, and yet he went forward anyway.

I left his office feeling worse, with a more complicated bite issue that now requires braces to fix. Please be cautious and do your research before trusting this orthodontist...
