Very expensive. As an Indian, I find their prices unreasonably high. I've visited lot of shops and I find that this shop is a total fraud. For example, you get garlic naan in Boston for 2.49 and this guy is selling the same packet for 9.49, this is all because of the garlic naan is favorite amongst locals. I would have given a 0 stars if that was possible. Avoid this store if you want to throw away your money. You can go to Boston and buy the same things and save money (even after spending money on travel)
Response to the reply: Same packet comes for 2.49 in other stores. Also, prices at Masala Mahal are too high. There is a store in Portland called Friends grocery and halal market which sell all the products listed by masala Mahal but at very reasonable rate. On average...

I have become happily acqainted with the owners and coming here to select ingredients not likely to be found anywhere else is always a positive and enjoyable experience. The place is clean bright, well stocked and well organized with a huge selection of all kinds of Indian food, spices sauces and treats. Very accomodating, the owners even special ordered some Keema Samosa ( delicious lamb filled pastry pockets usually filled with potatoe and peas- also delicious!) for me!You wont find Kasoori Methi or fresh curry leaves anywhere else in town. Great shop, lucky to have it.( P.S. I still say I make a top tier...

Great selection of fancy bismati rice (must have to top with curry, you're just not getting this quality at the Wal-Mart), hard to find spices and great prices on the common ones. For example, the curry recipe I'm perfecting calls for as lot of crushed black pepper. 2.99 for a bag of corns versus 8.99 at my local supermarket. Add on top of that a great refrigerated and freezer section of prepped things. Honesty, some days you just don't have the energy to make paneer, so why not just buy it? You need to get supplies for Indian cooking, and you need to...
