First and foremost it is very clean! A place where one expects to browse. Browsing will turn into money spent. There are a wide variety of sauces, marinades, jams, rubs, etc. All the items have various heat levels from Mild to Extreme. If you like "hot" items, the best is you can sample nearly everything! I joked with my husband that we had used so many sample spoons that we were obligated to buy something. There was no pressure to buy. There was no shadowing or lingering. We walked into the pepper palace and the lady at the counter did not say hello, did not greet us ,did not talk to us the entire time we were in the store We have stopped in here multiple times and purchased items. Normally someone makes a suggestion or assess how we like something if you're sampling the items they will even come-from-behind the counter and speak to you. We were probably in the store 10 to 15 minutes ,could have been longer,the only customers in there. After the poor customer service we decided to leave and not purchase anything. I visited the Pepper Palace in Washington, PA and was helped by an extremely knowledgeable young lady named Jinx (great name). Not only was she friendly but she was also very helpful. She offered me a lot of suggestions for the gifts (bbq sauce) I was purchasing. Plus, She made some great suggestions for spices I was curious about.
