TLDR: Basic diner, had what I wanted at a good price, good waffle, good service, no meaningful complaints from a Waffle House first-timer. A little messy on the floors, but understandable given the time of day and number of people working. Good for someone who just likes going to diners in general and isn't too picky. It's not very big inside and off a freeway, so probably more of a stop by on your road trip place. Jukebox was playing some pretty alright music.
Full Review: First time going to a Waffle House and contrary to its online reputation as the diner equivalent of a McDonald's parking lot fight club at 3am, I thought it was great and would go back. My girlfriend and I both got the All-Star Special (waffle, 2 eggs, bacon or sausage, hash browns, and toast) for $11.25 each and I got a $2 coffee, which all felt worth it to me.
The coffee was fresh and a perfect cup of classic diner coffee. The bacon was great, a little crispy in the right way, not super thick or anything fancy, but I was happy. My scrambled eggs and toast were nothing special, but par for the course at any diner. My girlfriend got her eggs over-medium and used her toast to make a good looking sandwich. The hash browns were solidly good coming from someone who isn't picky about fried potatoes, but nothing to write home about.
The waffle though...That was just damn near perfect for me. Soft, buttery, good sized, didn't need a knife to cut at all. It's not a fancy liege waffle or a Belgian waffle, it's more like if an eggo waffle grew three sizes and tasted three times better. It's truly an American Waffle.
The other positive was the service from our waitress Kinsley. She was very friendly and welcoming in a genuine way, quick to check in and get refills, and overall seemed like just a nice person. Good hire for sure. She was also busy handling what seemed to be nearly every table in the place, taking orders, bringing out food, making coffee and waffles, grabbing drinks, etc, etc.
The only negative was really just seeing a little mess around the floors with squished food scraps and such, but that didn't surprise me at all given the time of day on a Sunday and there only being 3 people working. Plus it's a fairly slim kitchen where you're working entirely in front of customers, so things like that get noticed more.
Of course this is a Waffle House diner review, so scale your expectations accordingly. I like diners and it's hard to make me unhappy with eggs, bacon, hash browns, and a waffle in front of me, so I lean a little positive, but others might feel differently. I could see its score swinging between a 3 and a 4 out of 5 for most people, depending on the day and what you're...
Read moreOh Boy! Wife and I went to this Waffle on Friday May 24th for breakfast. The coffee was great, our order was just like we wanted. Our waitress was nice and helpful. Lost my debit card and 2 hours later found it where I had dropped it - in the parking lot at WH. LUCKY ! Went back to this WH on Sunday evening the 26th around 7:30 pm for a take out. Wife and I went to the counter - Waitress #1 place napkins down, Wife mentioned we were only placing a To Go Order. #1 took up the napkins and walked off. We looked at the menu and was ready to order - #1 never came back. Waitress #2 asked if we had ordered, we said no, #2 asked #1 about our order and #1 said (while standing across the counter from us) "I'm not getting it" (I think she was afraid she would not get a tip for a take out). A few minutes later I asked #1 if she was going to take our order - She (#1) said she would while looking at waitress #3). #3 now involved voluntary look our way but never came to take our order. After 5 more minutes i went to #2 who was doing some type of paper work and asked if she was the manager (She says they didn't have one on duty) I asked for the owner number and she said you would have to call corporate . There were 4 empty tables and the whole counter was empty but my wife and I. So we left, I took a picture of the store # 1614 and on Tuesday sent an email to corporate. We stop at WH a lot while on the road. This review has NO reflection on WH, their food nor this location. Our complaint is on the 5 employees (2 men were cooking they knew what was going on but didn't have balls to say anything) on the staff that are a sorry and sad bunch to have representing WH. I've been in business for over 33 years and asked that my employees represent our company well. But Most of all I asked that they FIRST represent themselves well. Waffle House - These individuals did a very poor job representing your company - VERY POOR. And even worst job representing themselves! You should take them to Chick-fil -A to see how customer service works!! - UPDATE 10-16-19 Never heard back from Corporate - does not say much...

Waffle House is my favorite restaurant so I decided to go with my friends for my birthday. We walked in, half of the tables were full, the other half were dirty with dishes on them. We stood, waiting for someone to acknowledge us, and when no one did for a few minutes we decided to bus our own table to sit at. As we sat, waiting for anyone to acknowledge us, we grabbed menus from behind the counter. After about 20 minutes someone came and got us drinks. Then we waited even longer, approximately 30 minutes, for someone to take our order which only happened because we flagged down one of the two servers. While we were waiting to get our order, there were probably seven employees behind the counter, walking in and out of the backroom, excitedly shouting at each other and hugging each other, not doing their job and letting the other employees drown and leaving all the customers unsatisfied. After we placed our order it took about 20 minutes for our food, while we waited we saw the sheer filth of the restaurant, the employees were dumping hot water onto the floor to try and wash nasty food down the drain. When our food arrived, we only got about half of what we ordered. Of the four people at the table, no one had everything in their meal. But before we could tell the waitress she was on the other side of the restaurant. When we flagged down someone to try and get our proper meals, they kept blaming it on a waitress that was inexperienced because it was only her second day. However it was clear that the entire kitchen was dysfunctional. Eventually we got all of our food. It was clear we weren’t the only ones experiencing this as the table next to us was also experiencing long wait times and only receiving half of their meals. After we were done eating, we had to wait another twenty minutes for the bill, which we had to flag down someone to get. The only upside was the food was good and the waitress only charged us thirty as she lost the slip and she felt bad for our troubles.
Overall it was like being in a Waffle...
