Boot Barn — Local services in South Union Township

My family used to love this store so much so it’s the only place my kids would get their boots from my husband loves their cowboy hats but unfortunately today 8/5/25 I took my 2 boys in one needed some holes put in a belt and the other one wanted a new belt easy enough right? Well the first lady to greet us was nice as could be helped us out with putting holes in the belt once that was finished we went back to look for a belt for my youngest he’s 9 he found one belt which was a little to small and I told him to get a bigger one while he was doing that another lady came an asked if we needed help I told her I dk just because I wasn’t sure if he had found what he was looking for you know how kids are very undecided so he found what he wanted in 1 min or less and we said ok let’s go check out the rude lady in a very condescending tone said I’ll take that to the front for you as to say I was going to steal it or something I even said no it’s ok but she persisted I said since when can we not carry our own merchandise to the counter especially since it just a dang belt a $30.00 belt! I will not shop there anymore and I think it was completely unnecessary and unprofessional of her to assume because we don’t look like the high class ppl who would normally shop there that we were there to steal something! They may have a decent selection of boots for formal wear, but when it comes to work boots their selection is not what you would expect in a store called Boot barn. Being the middle of winter, I wanted some insulated boots, they have like 4 different pairs, and after sitting in the parking lot for an hr watching person after person try to go in with their open sign flashing and the manager not intelligent enough to find the breaker to turn it off, I searched and searched and finally asked for help and was directed to the shelf that had 4 types of insulated boots that were all lace up, and then no label indicating the actual amount of insulation. I ordered a pair of work boots to be picked up from Uniontown Bootbarn. Pick them up go home. Go to put them on. Pull the laces out of the boot that were tucked in. Notice the lace was cut and about to break. So i called Bootbarn the next morning. I explain the situation and the lady proceeded to give attitude and act like i did it. I have bought these same boots from the manufacturer for two years. They always come with a tag on them. Well bootbarn cuts that tag off and puts their tag on. Which i suspect someone sliced the string during that process. Needless to say i wont be purchasing from bootbarn anymore. Don't treat your customers like garbage. You aren't the only place that...
