I had the privilege of conducting business with Bixlers two times in 2021. Yes, it seemed like a privilege to shop a store that cares for the customer and treats them right when so many stores do not.
The first time we were in the store was in February. We had to replace an emerald cut, diamond center stone that went missing from my wife's engagement ring. Bixlers was our second stop in a list of six jewelers in the Lehigh Valley. I should have just stopped the search there! After the sixth store was visited, we quickly went back to Bixlers.
Michele brought out some stones to review and had to order the one we wanted. It came in the time period stated and was installed in the ring. The ring was stunning and beautiful again.
During that visit, in February, I asked Michele about a ring that we saw at another store and sent her some photos to see if she could find a similar ring. Her vendors did not have that style ring but she offered to make a custom ring similar the one we wanted.
After a few months of visiting and meeting with many, many, many jewelry stores in the Lehigh Valley, Lancaster and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton areas, I narrowed my search to 3 stores. It was June 15th when I made my final decision to go with Michele and Bixlers.
During those 4 months, I had many calls to those stores with follow-up questions relating to the diamonds (the 4C's and total diamond weight), financing and the custom design process. Michele stood out as very knowledgeable in her field. What I really appreciated about her was that when she didn't have all of the info, she didn't try talk through the question posed. She simply said that she would get more info and get back to me.
The custom ring process was intimidating at first but I think it added an enormous amount of sentimental value to the piece. Michele walked us through the steps from CADD design, wax molding and final delivery. She made it a wonderful experience.
The final product was breath taking. The 3+ cttw ring was exactly what we wanted and could not have been happier with our purchase experience.
This is why I have been spreading the word to friends and family about the "Bixlers Way" of doing business.

   Read moreSo many things have changed in the Lehigh Valley over the past 67 years. I believed that the value of good hometown customer service left the Lehigh Valley years ago but I was wrong. Recently, I found the best heartfelt customer service at Bixlers.
I received a pair of earrings as a retirement gift for working over 45 plus years at a local company. Unfortunately, I just couldn't get the earrings in my ears the way they were designed. I was so disappointed and heartbroken that I couldn't wear the earrings.
I went into Bixler's to see if they could help and even though the earrings were not purchased at Bixlers, the woman who helped me was so kind, considerate and empathetic to my problem. She didn't even miss a beat and promptly attempted to help me get the earrings in place, but the earrings just wouldn't budge. She said, "Just a minute and let me see if one of the jewelers can help." It was as if she could feel my disappointment and I could tell she really WANTED to help!
In less than 5 minutes, she was back with the earrings and they slipped right into place! Despite my attempts, Bixlers refused to charge me for their work which brought tears to my eyes. I had no words other than, "What?" and "Are you kidding me?" Bixlers continued to refuse payment," No charge, just enjoy your earrings.â How could this be possible? Things like this just don't happen anymore.
I appreciate the experience and customer service I received at Bixlers. This definitely brought back my faith that there are still really good local people in the Lehigh Valley. And I found them, they work at Bixlers!

   Read moreWe have always had a wonderful experience shopping at Bixlers both at its previous location on Tilghman St and at its current location on Hamilton Blvd in Allentown. Most recently my husband purchased a beautiful sapphire and diamond band as a very special surprise Christmas present but unfortunately the sizing needed to be corrected. Without any issue or difficulty Linda helped us insure the correct sizing and arranged for a brand new ring to be made to insure I had the finest quality piece. In addition I had a very special star sapphire (lindystar) ring my children had bought me 20 years ago that I wanted to have sized down to a pinkie ring so that I could wear both rings. Again Linda was wonderful and made sure all the necessary adjustments were made. Best of all both rings were done before the date that was given and in time to show off at a special family event. Both rings are stunning!
One of the things I have always loved about Bixlers is that they happily will check your ring settings to insure stones are secure and will polish and clean without needing to make a purchase.The sales persons actually encourage you to stop in at any time.
