Updated review. Have been back a few times since buying things here and there and definitely have been an improvement. To me it means a lot as a business owner that you addressed these issues. Because I know exactly how it is. The fact the issues were addressed means a lot to your customer base. I don’t know that about the system. Which btw works amazing. Everyone there was always nice and helpful just didn’t seem so confident in store police’s or general knowledge. But since then I have nothing bad to say and have experience five star service. All games working perfect! And I notice blitz 2 didn’t make it back in the shelf which was a good thing. - Start of original review. Honestly really let down. Bought an original ps3 (which worked fine minus missing cosmetic piece on the front-common) it came with a controller, power cord and hdmi. The original ps3 controller that came with had a bad dpad. I also bought a ps3 game. Which was very dirty but I took a chance. Game was about 50$ for a ps3 that didn’t even work. Went to a black screen. Other games worked. So it wasn’t ps3. Took controller back and they swapped for generic and no store credit. Even though the ps3 controller is worth more then the generic. I’m sure I paid that price when buying the ps3 for 250$… so that was a let down. The game was returned for store credit. Which was cool. But my issue is alot of this stuff doesn’t even look like it was tested. Also very dirty used equipment. At least take pride and clean the stuff. The employee was very nice but wasn’t much more help then that. When asked if stuff works or will work it was a not so confident reply of … if it doesn’t work bring back for store credit no cash refunds. Which almost seems like a scam just to get you to buy stuff that potentially doesn’t work. Then not Giving you cash back making you buy more product at the store because of the In store credit. There were three employees there when I went in and I’m not sure if one he was definitely playing video games and when asked to help other customers was hesitant in doing so. While one person sat in the center of the store on the computer, watching YouTube videos or something…. One cool thing about the store is they have a lot of retro stuff around including original boxes, which is really cool to look at that gives you false hope in believing that they probably have that item in stock. I’ve been up and down. Men for a while, and have seen the store and always wanted to go in and it was just kind of a let down after the...
Read moreThis is the best gaming store in town! This place has new games, old games, and any gaming system that you can think of, or probably haven't even heard of. They have games for the SNES to the Gameboy and GBA as well as 3DO, Atari, and GameCube as well as accessories to all those gaming systems. If they don't have it they can put you on a list and give you a call when they do. They do repair and disc and cartridge cleanings. This place may not look like much from the outside but for me this place is my gaming and strategy guide Mecca. Games that I thought were long gone from my childhood can be found right here. I found an original Gameboy and GameCube as well as strategy guides and have had my Xbox and PS2 repaired and or cleaned for a very reasonable price. If you want to sell games they do cash, trade, and of course store credit. To get the most for your games and unused or old systems I would suggest going with store credit. If you're selling a game and it's $5 cash it's almost guaranteed that it's going to be 10 to $15 in store credit. And just like comic books the rarer the game the more they will give to you. Again one of the best gaming places in the City of Reno and Sparks. I would even go as far to say better than GameStop when it comes to looking for games past their Prime. Like PS2 or GameCube or Sega, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Game Boy, things like that. As far as their brand new game selection I would have to say is limited and you would be better off going to GameStop for the newer games. But they do have a selection of new games. Even games that you didn't even know existed. As well as Collectibles such as figurines console accessories that are specialized. (Exp. Metallica specialized oak wooden Guitar Hero controller guitar, or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare night vision goggles.) As well as posters, strategy guides, toys, pre-order collectibles, and much much more. The staff are accommodating and very friendly. As well as, KNOW their gaming. So stop by and get the game that you always wanted and never got, or the game that you had...
Read moreThis place really super lacks good customer service. We have ordered a few games for our Original Nintendo here. We ordered Solstice but they couldn't tell us how much it would cost till it got in store, which made no sense. Then when it came in 2 months later, they tried to say it was going to be 58.00$. Out of their minds on prices. We came in to get a cartridge reader for our system, and the guy had the nerve to tell my fiance that my fiance couldn't have fixed, because HE HAS BEEN DOING THIS FOR 20 YEARS, and that it doesnt work that way. Very rude know it all personalities. My fiance is a mechanic, he can fix most anything. FUNNY part is my fiance DID fix it and it works great. We went in to have our XBox one tested because we found it in the garbage, we were told they would be right with us. We waited 15-20 minutes while other people that walked in AFTER us were helped immediately. My fiance went to the restroom, came out...still no help. We looked at the games....still no help. We finally picked up our game console and walked out. I suggest if you are a NON Geek, or Non 24/7 gamer...you're not...
