Went by Browns Meat Market this afternoon for a couple of filets. This was our first visit. My husband and I had several questions as to decide exactly what we wanted. Possibly would have purchased more. We actually received some great information from a super nice customer who was purchasing some meat himself. I’m sure what we decided on will be DELISH!! No Doubt. I just really wish the lady behind the counter would have been more willing to help us and just be more kind and friendly. We felt very rushed. She went to the back and picked our steaks out before the butcher brought the tray to the display. We ask if we could see what she wrapped and were able to get a peek. We will see them at home. There were only 3 customers in the store. The young girl with long dark hair was very friendly at checkout. Appreciate her being so kind. Update : steaks were good but definitely not the ones we would have chosen. They were small but there again we were not given the chance to...
Read moreI ordered three different packages from Brown’s last week. Employees were friendly. I asked about substitutions (who needs 5 lbs of French fries from a butcher shop?) and was told directly that they had so much business now that they did not need to accommodate any substitute requests. Ok, fair enough.
Overall, I would have felt we received a decent deal had we gotten everything we were supposed to. However, our order was missing the 5 lbs of ground beef that should have been included. I already had to drive out there to order and pay upfront, and then turn around the next day and have my son drive there to pick up the order, since they could not fulfill it on the day of order. I live approximately 35 minutes away from Brown’s so there was no way I was going to drive back there to attempt to...
Read moreI was disappointed with the lack of service I received. I was greeted by multiple people but nothing beyond that. I came in to pick up steaks for dinner because I saw the sign out front for 6.99 Ribeyes. I had my son in the car so I asked for a ribeye and a filet, paid and left. At home I realized the ribeye I purchased was at 15.99 a pound. When I called to ask of there was a mistake I was told that the discounted steaks were in a refrigerated case and not the Ribeyes at the meat counter. I have no issue that I mistakeningly bought a different ribeye, but quality service would include telling the customer that there were other more affordable options available. I'm a great supporter of local business and I wish them well but I have sadly had better...
