Honestly I never expect a 5 star dinning experience from waffle house but my last time there I was treated especially poorly. My coworker and I coworker showed up in uniform early in the morning to get some food after working all night. A younger female waitress had a visual look of disinterest when we sat in her section. She began normally enough taking our drink order then left us alone for an inordinate amount of time. She finally returned to take our order (without drinks in hand) we place our order. I ordered a triple order of hashbrowns with ham and cheese and when it arrived it was a single order with nothing on it. I knew with me being in uniform that I could easily have a situation but I asked the waiter about my hashbrowns and she took my plate back and returned it with barely cooked onions (and still a single order) I decided not to engage any further. I then began eating and I noticed that she never brought us our drinks. We are half way through our meal with no drinks. My coworker flags her down and she brings us our drinks. Even this task was mistaken as she neglected to bring me the water I requested with my coffee. I finally went up to pay and when I got the bill I checked to see if she charged me for a triple order and sure enough there was 3 check marks in the section. I paid and got out of there without further incident.
The next section is dedicated to the waitress personally:
Young lady I don't know what you have against people in law enforcement. I don't know what they've done to you in the past. I don't have any clue and I never will, but the way you treated me and my coworker was unacceptable. I've worked in customer service for years and I would never allow my personal bias or beliefs EVER effect how I treated the customer. If you cannot treat every customer with dignity and respect then you need to find...
Read moreThe staff at the Waffle House on Southport Rd are terrible. Our waitress Mary was rude, lazy, and very loudly voiced her opinion that she did not want to be there and wanted another job. It started with Mary only cleaning half the table. She then took our food order not drink order first. I ordered coffee but got tea. I sent it back she was not happy about having to walk across the restaurant to fix the correct drink. The food came out and both our orders were wrong. The waffle was under cooked and looked like it had been dropped. My eggs and bacon was under cooked. My hash browns were missing all the add ons. My fiancée’s plate was missing all her add ons. While we were waiting on our food to be recooked Mary over heard us agreeing with her that she needed a new job and she had a bad attitude. She ran right over and began being extra rude. We left and went to Waffle House on 221 in Roebuck and it was great. Total different environment. Total staff replacement is needed at Southport location. Management, cooks, and waitresses all need to...
Read moreThese mf called the cops and said they thought I was inebriated... I was sober as you could be. I'm eating with my kids and the cop asks to speak to me in the middle of my meal outside. I understand he has to do that if someone calls and he was polite. He thought it was ridiculous, basically wasted his time, embarrassed me in front of my kids and the other guests. The family in the booth behind us watched the entire event. He walked up and took my ticket off the table and paid for our food... Bc he knew how screwed up it was. The wait staff would not come up to our table to see if we needed anything... Bc one of them called the police. In a WAFFLE HOUSE FOR NO REASON. I would just like to let whoever know that called the police that the best thing for them to do is stay in ur damn lane and make my mf waffles. Priorities. Your not the police or an obligated employee that is expected to call for REAL problems. You make waffles. ...
