If I could do zero stars, I would! I have been working with Don's Artistry in Gold for a few years. I never had any issues with them and they always did an amazing job on repairs. Since they are no longer in business I had to find another option. I purchased a heavy gold chain from a store that is now closed due to Covid. I paid about $275 (on sale) for the necklace. I was not happy with the length and needed it shortened. I took it to Tracy's and I believe Chris is the one that helped me. This was on a Friday. He said it was a very nice, heavy chain and he would have it done on Wednesday of next week. I wasn't able to get there until the following Friday. I called to let them know I was in the parking lot to pick up my necklace. The lady on the phone said "Oh, I am sorry but they were not able to fix your necklace". I said "I am confused, I just needed it shortened." She sent Chris out to talk with me. He said "we had some problems with your necklace and it keeps breaking". He said if I were you I would return it. I am thinking really...why didn't anyone call me to tell me this...why am I just hearing about it now??? I explained to him I could not return it because the store is closed. He said "well we were using the laser so maybe I can try the sauter". I said okay, I don't know what else to do. I was so disappointed! I was almost in tears. I had bought this chain for a new gold cross I had purchased. I came back the following week to pick up my necklace and Chris came back out. He said "well its still breaking". Its put together but it probably will not last. Then he says to me "I get the feeling you are upset". I said yes I am upset! When I brought my necklace to you, you told me it was a nice heavy necklace. He looked at me and said "it's not my problem"! I said no one even called me to tell me you were having problems with it. You waited until I came to pick it up. He just said again "it's not my problem". I am not even charging you. I said "really, you didn't fix it, I would not expect you to charge me" and I left.

I had previously been to Tracy Jewelers for custom work on a pearl & necklace—which came out wonderfully—so I thought I would come to them again to get some work done on my Claddagh ring. The gem (5mm faceted heart-shaped white sapphire) in my ring had become loose & the band needed resizing to a smaller size; I was also interested in replacing the original gem with a moonstone opal or peridot. They didn't have any faceted moonstone opals & they would have to ship in some peridots (three of them); so I dropped off my ring to be resized & they would call me to check out the peridots before placing one (in about 3-4 days). After a week of no phone calls, I called in to get an update & (after not immediately knowing where they had placed my ring & having to look for it), they had said the jeweler was about to place an opal. Except I had declined getting an opal when I initially dropped off my ring & now they were trying to place this faceted cabochon opal that had like confetti specks in it, without my approval—and they never ordered the peridots either. So, I had to leave my ring there for another 3-4 days for the peridots to come in; same setup, they would call me before placing the gem. Another week goes by, no phone calls so I call in, and after having to look for my ring again, they're about to set a peridot without having me come in to choose which peridot I wanted. Turns out, there was only ever one heart-shaped faceted peridot & it was 6 mm. Two days later, I finally have my ring back. However, I immediately noticed that the peridot isn't even straight in the setting but I was just exhausted of having to deal with this place & I wanted to keep my ring after two scares that it was lost & just not having it for over two weeks.
And not even a week later of light wear, the gem in my ring was even looser than before, it is set absolutely crooked on every axis, & the bottom prongs meant to hold it are now offset & uneven; I'm too scared to even wear it now. But hey, at...
Read moreThey treat every single piece of my jewelry like I'm a Queen, and I am always amazed at my requests they've completed. They are my jeweler for life. Shannon has been most helpful even tho my purchases are minimal comparatively, but it doesn't matter, she still focuses on my needs and ideas I have had for my jewelry. I love that I don't have to be making 6 figures to afford their lines. Don't get me wrong, they DO have extraordinary pieces and designer lines that make me wish I had ridiculous cash flow so I could own certain gem lines they carry. But, with that being said, they also have magnificent pieces that are affordable, and can be adorned easily. They have stunning Blue Topaz styles that are accented with quality silver. I am not a fan of gold. Silver is what compliments my taste and my entire look for work and play. Thank you for being a trusted name in the jewelry business. I will never buy from anyone else, after a bad choice of jewelers...
