This was the highlight of my visit to Spokane. I really like the altruistic and egalitarian spirit behind this art salvage place. The executive director Katie has an amazing vision. I also met Laura and Kylie. They gave us a guided tour of this place. We were attending the Washington state Recycling association convention here in town and this was a field trip and a field visit to this amazing place that helps disabled children and mentally Disadvantaged people also.
Spokane's first creative reuse center dedicated to sustainability, community, and creativity. Art Salvage offers a place to donate your usable art materials, a place to buy affordable art materials, and a place to be creative. Most people have leftovers from projects or materials that have been saved but will never be used. Businesses have seconds, damaged goods, or out of season materials that are not needed anymore. By gathering all of these usable things together in one place we create an accessible and inspiring place to load up on art materials. Because Art Salvage is supported by donations the materials are affordable, always changing and more varied than what you might find in a traditional art or craft store. Who is creative reuse for? Artists, crafters, teachers, students, professionals, beginners. Everyone! What kind of art supplies and materials can I buy from Art Salvage? Read moreArt Salvage Spokane is one of the most creative and inspiring places I’ve ever been. It’s not your typical art store—it’s a reuse and recycle treasure trove where artists, teachers, and makers can find the most unique supplies. Every corner feels like a hunt for hidden gems: fabric, paints, beads, frames, paper, and all kinds of unexpected materials waiting to be turned into something new.
What I love most is their mission. They’re not only keeping art affordable, but they’re also giving new life to materials that would otherwise go to waste. It’s sustainable, creative, and community-driven all at once. The staff are friendly and passionate, always willing to share ideas or help brainstorm how you might use something.
If you’re an artist, crafter, teacher, or just someone who loves creative projects, Art Salvage is a must-visit. You’ll walk in with curiosity and leave with inspiration—and probably more supplies than you planned (in...
Read moreThis is my all time favorite store! Just completely full of craft supplies of every kind but well organized and easy to find what you need. The staff is phenomenal and always happy to help you find something. I always end up with more than I planned for because there are so many interesting and useful items! The prices are really low and it's a great way to try a new craft without a huge investment. You can also donate your extra supplies from projects - the website makes it easy to set up a donation appointment. If you are looking for craft supplies this should be your first stop! My only wish is that they had more hours so I could...
