I go to Brickworks at least twice a week to check out the new and cool sets and minifigures there. Brickworks is a work in progress business that I am happy to share that I have been a small part of. The staff is very friendly and always interested in your interests or hobbies. The volunteer nights on Monday from 5-8 allow anyone to come and help out the store organize and sort thousands of various parts and pieces to invite anyone to come and meet some new friendly faces. Everyone who attends is always there for a good conversation and to meet new people who have similar interests such as Marvel/DC, Star Wars, Pokémon, Nintendo, music, movies, popular tv show and any interest that comes along the way.
Brickworks is a second hand Lego store, which means most of the items there are used. However donât expect low quality minifigures or sets. Brickworks does their best to provide the best parts and pieces for any customer looking for replacements or bricks to make your own creations. Brickworks also has a wide range of minifigures covering popular themes like Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Harry Potter, Ninjago and other CMF minifigures and various figures from current and retired LEGO themes.
Brickworks does also have an online store on Bricklink where anyone can access more incredible parts, minifigures and sets. All the listings and prices in store and online are fair and reasonable for any LEGO fan or anyone looking for a quick pick up. I myself have made many purchases and have always been satisfied with the quality and fast completion of online orders as well as good quality items purchased in store. The staff always ensures each minifigure will meet customer expectations and ensure the minifigure can be used for play or display.
I highly recommend Brickworks for any person to come and see to check out one of the most popular toys in the world, or to come in on volunteer nights to help out and to meet new people and potentially make...
Read moreThe vibe here feels like youâre shopping in your friendâs basement, which has its pros and cons.
Once you walk in youâre greeted by a friendly staff, spaceships hanging from the ceiling, and storage bins of LEGO as far as the eye can see.
Thereâs a good bit of unsorted inventory here, which if you ask theyâll probably sell, but I found on my last trip there were a lot of sets and minifigures clearly sorted for sale that didnât have price tags. Everyoneâs always helpful and theyâll get you a price, but itâs kind of cumbersome as a buyer to keep asking how much items are. One visit, I found an unpriced incomplete set Iâd been tracking the price for on Bricklink and eBay, and the price they told me was marginally higher than a complete version of that set.
This brings me to my next point. A majority of whatâs sold are used, incomplete sets. This is good if youâre looking for a deal, but it can be hard to tell whatâs actually missing. Of course, itâs a lot easier when the set is built on display in the glass case they have. But, itâs hard to determine whether or not youâre getting a value when you pull a bagged incomplete set from one of the plastic bins, since more often than not itâs not assembled.
I wanted to buy a few sets from these bins, but I didnât want to take any chances since I couldnât really verify if important parts were there. This is something Boyertown does better, since more of their incomplete sets are built and not in plastic bags.
I think Royersford could benefit from trying to complete more of their used sets, and pricing all of their for-sale items. Iâve had a good experience in previous visits, but my most recent visit left me disappointed which led me to this review. I hope this constructive criticism benefits the store, and benefits the people who want...
Read moreâââââ I absolutely LOVE Royersford Brickworks! It's immediately clear that this family-owned and operated store is a true passion project. The team there is consistently helpful and goes above and beyond. If I walk in with a specific request, like "I have a $30 budget for something to do with [insert name of company/theme like 'Harry Potter' or 'Star Wars']", they genuinely help guide you to the perfect item within your budget. They never try to oversell you on something you don't need or want. What really sets them apart is how much the entire team genuinely loves the brick-building community. That passion shines through and is precisely why I enjoy shopping here for both myself and my family. They truly have something for everyone, of all ages, and even offer fantastic storage solutions for your brick collections. Boyertown Brickworks is a gem for any...
