Nature's Feed — Local services in Spring Grove

I will never return to this pet store ever again.

NOTE: Don’t make excuses you carry every size of all products. You don’t. Just three examples are: Fromm, Zingnature, and N&D bags of food. Additionally, cat food can have needed which I quit purchasing here before the dog food. I have gone back and forth with this store three years.

Additionally, I know who the store manager and owner are and the store manager was in at the time. I have personally spoken with her several times.

My review why I will never return to this store:

1. was checking out and the store manager stood at the first register closest to the office while I was being checked out. I looked directly at the store manager/supervisor directed a question towards her and she pretended I was not there, too preoccupied to acknowledge me after having answered a previous question. She couldn’t be bothered. There was one male customer behind me in line and we were the only two customers in the store at the registers at the time. The lady who checked me out at the adjacent register answered my question.

2. Supply and demand. They carry multiple small bags of different brands of dog food. Like try and see - then you end up having to special order the larger size of the dog food if the small bag of dog food works with your dog. They don’t carry enough multiple sizes of products.

3. Looked at the product online - the manufacturer has the product price listed. The bag ranged in different prices online. Called Natures Feed and they stone walled me saying they are not authorized to give prices. The bag ran a specific price. This store wants to be able to price the product at their own price which many not be at the lowest manufacturer price online. Also they have provided prices over the phone multiple times before on various products in or out of stock. With the answer I was provided most recently I called a different doggy boutique competitor across town who carried the product and confirmed the price; I will never step foot in Natures Feed again. Have tried to be understanding with this store. Done. Never again. Do not recommend.

This review is specifically regards to supply and demand, and one lady who periodically provides customer service. They have an issue with supply and demand as they only have so much room for products. They are willing to order the product you are in need of or put you on a ordering call list. There are plenty of times they are out of products. If they know a product sells out more than others; remove other products that do not have empty spaces. They may have six bags of “X” in 30lb bags yet only one “X”15lb dog food. Yet then they always have low selling product in stock that never sells out so they have more of a variety. They are repeatedly out of “X” 15lb bags and it is inconveniently annoying.

There is one lady, perhaps the store manager who any time you bring up an issue with any of the other polite personable ladies who provide customer service; she shifts the problem back out on the customer and blames the customer. Instead of looking in the client files or asking a question to resolve the problem or issue at hand she immediately deflects and blames the customer. It bothers me as I am in the legal industry and she could try fact finding rather than accusing the customers like myself saying we are the cause or caused the problem.

Other than these two issues, the store is fun with lots of great products, sweet cats and dogs that visit with customers, tasty treats and toys. I knocked off two stars due to the lady and lack of...

I only live a few blocks away but never stopped in until today. My son and I took our new dog Lola in as I was looking for some chew toys. We spent about 40 minutes in there and it was an exceptional experience. The staff and even the other customers were so welcoming and friendly Very knowledgeable. They took the time to walk us around and show Lola all the wonderful stuff they had. They helped Lola pick out new chew toys, bones, and treats. They also went over the different brands of dog food and what would be best for her. Natural, healthy probiotics food and way better than what I was previously giving her. We got 2 bottles of oil to add to her food to help keep her skin and coat healthy and itch free. Deodorizer spray and a flea and tick collar. Nothing was expensive. Everything is very well priced. The staff here are knowledgeable, friendly, caring, and considerate. Their selection is choice and prime, so you're not going to find a load of variety. They're not Amazon. However, what they sell is quality goods, and if you were to do your homework, you'd find that they stock the best items in the market.

The atmosphere is awesome. You walk in to a rustic area packed full of cool toys, treats, feeds, and accessories. People bring in their dogs, and since it can get quite packed, you can't avoid being greeted by them. To me, this is the best part. It makes me excited to bring my puppy and join the fun. My whole family loves coming here!
