They try to make it fun for the kids . Not too crowded at the 1-4 skate on Wednesdays . It does have the concession open. The only reason I gave 4 ⭐ instead of 5 ⭐ is the lady in the booth gave my 5 yr old daughter a free admission ticket thinking she was one of the 5 who won in the race. My daughter handed it to me and was leaving to go skate again . I was getting up to return it and would tell my daughter I lost it when the lady from the booth came over . I held my finger up to her asking her to give me one second while my daughter was skating away. Instead she ignored my request and said she didn't win anything I need that ticket back!! My daughter stopped and looked at me with tears in her eyes and said I was a loser? I was pissed. She could have just waited a few more seconds and I would give it to her as it was in my hand and I was standing up to go to the booth. I use a cane so my balance isn't great or I would have just handed it to her as it was in my hand I was using cane with. I finished standing and told her thank you for ignoring my request to wait a few seconds for my daughter to skate away . I handed it to her and had to explain about the mistake the lady made and wasn't fair to the other child who did win. It was a $6 admission lol that I could definitely afford. I had been paying admissions for 2 kids, 2 skate rentals ,2 walker rentals and 3 soda, 3 pizza slices, 2 cotton candy every Wednesday for the last 3 weeks. So instead of her coming over like we stole it, she could have waited like I said for 3 seconds . We won't be going back . I will find other things to do with them in the last few weeks before school starts. Was the dark haired heavy set lady . Had my daughter been older I would have had her take it right back but she was so happy thinking she won I wanted to save tears and blame mommy for losing...
Read moreManager please read. You are BREAKING BUILDING CODE - YOU CHARGE $1 FOR TAP WATER. We come here all the time and never had a problem with bringing a water cup. They informed me I was not allowed to bring in my cup, even if it was EMPTY. Legally, they are breaking codes:
BE] 410.3 Provide high and low drinking fountains. Where drinking fountains are required, not fewer than two drinking fountains shall be provided. One drinking fountain shall comply with the requirements for people who use a wheelchair and one drinking fountain shall comply with the requirements for standing persons.
Exceptions:
1.A single drinking fountain with two separate spouts that complies with the requirements for people who use a wheelchair and standing persons shall be permitted to be substituted for two separate drinking fountains.
410.4 Substitution. Where restaurants provide drinking water in a container free of charge, drinking fountains shall not be required in those restaurants. In other occupancies where three or more drinking fountains are required, water dispensers shall be permitted to be substituted for not more than 50 percent of the required number of drinking fountains.
You are NOT up to code and you will be reported to the building officials about this as my husband is in the industry.
I suggest you allow empty tumblers to be accepted or provide cups of water free of charge; especially in a place where people skating...
Read moreI went to a harry potter event they had and although it was very nice I was appalled by a music video played for the children that was very inappropriate with a graphic sex scene. The screen is located right in the skating rink for all the children to view as they skate(the song was curious by hayley kiyoko ). my son is 10! he's a child! and I didn't take him roller blading to see sex scenes while he skates. there where younger children there 2,3,4 year old. If it was just the song it wouldn't be so bad or even if it was on teen night or even warn the parents that it was a video with nudity and borderline pornographic content. Then I would have taken my son outside or covered his eyes or left(which I did). But it wasn't teen night and they didn't warn. What should have been a nice wholesome family outing turned out to be an awkward embarrassing event, for not only my son but my niece and me as well. I thought this was a safe place where parents can leave there kids and not have to worry about them being exposed to sexual immorality. I'm never going back. I suggest that the owner of this establishment check and monitor what his employees are...
