Culver's is great if you are in the mood for fast food, just not this Culver's. Go to the one on Cortez instead. They have awesome service and seldom make mistakes. We've seldom ordered from this location where they haven't messed our order up. We usually order large dinners for a family of four, but only ordered lunch for two this time. Today, 2-25-25, my wife ordered a roast beef sandwich with no bun and grilled onions for herself and a reuben for me. My reuben was ordered as-is. We ordered online to make sure there was no confusion and that I didn't mess her order up myself. I picked it up, went home, and started scarfing my sandwich down. I was hungry and ate part of the sandwich before I realized they had forgotten the thousand island dressing. I live nearby, so I went back to get it corrected. I spent years in customer service. I've dealt with enough Karens that I try not to be one. I politely said what was wrong with my sandwich. The young woman at the counter was polite, professional, and apologized. She took what was left of the sandwich and tossed it. Then I heard the cook in the back growl out loud. "I remember he ordered it that way!" No, I didn't. The customization options were on the bag they tossed, and there were none for my reuben. I didn't say anything, but left there annoyed and a little angry because of that. The reuben they sent back out was correct, but messy and the toast was slightly burned. The place was less busy during my return trip. Everyone makes mistakes. However, staff should never complain loud enough for customers to hear. Don't accuse a customer of making a mistake without checking the order on the receipt. Never accuse them of lying. This includes passive-agressively implying. Also, when you make a mistake, you should offer to either comp the food you messed up prior to tossing it, or offer to comp a drink, or a small side, or even a small custard. A fountain drink would cost the business less than 25 cents and made me happy as compensation for driving back. Honestly, I would have been satisfied with just a small cup of dressing to dip the rest of my...
Read moreArrived at 8pm the night before Hurricane Milton was due to hit the area. Just left the ER across the street after 4.5 hours and hadn't eaten since noon. Myself, my husband and his mother were tired and hungry and were happy this location was still open as most places had already closed in preparation for the hurricane. Then we noticed someone putting cones behind our car meaning we were the last customers for the evening. Naturally we were so happy about this. When we placed our order, paid, and received our number, we noticed some of the employees clapping and cheering that they were done for the night. We pulled forward and waited. Then we saw food being brought out to all the cars who were in front of us and eventually we were the only car left. We waited and waited, even backing up in the lane so we could be seen better by the staff inside, but still no food came out. My husband got out and knocked on the door and asked about our order. He was told that they would "check on it." Apparently they staff was so happy to be clearing down that they forgot they hadn't served all their guests yet. We eventually got our order and drove the eight minutes home. Everything was cold and the fries were undercooked, probably because they had turned the fryers off and the oil was no longer at temperature. This was our 2nd visit to this location, and it was equally disappointing as the first bisit back in April. Nothing against Culver's, I just think this location doesn't have a good staff or management. I don't plan on returning here, but I will continue to go to the Brooksville location. Amazing staff and the food is always cooked...
Read moreThis was my first time eating at a Culver's. I had no idea what to expect as I've heard nothing about Culver's. I went online to briefly check out the menu to see what kind of food they offered before getting there. After viewing their menu and looking at all them mouth watering (more like drooling) pictures I was ready to go right then not later. LoL. The atmosphere was relaxed and workers were friendly and helpful. I ordered the rueben sandwich with mash potatoes with gravy and my boyfriend had a double cheeseburger with fries and we also split the pretzel bites. I have to say even though my rueben sandwich was Hella greasy it still tasted great and full of flavor. I would order that again but not the mash potatoes. Idk why or what it was I just didn't care for it. Pretzel bites were good. My man's burger tasted way better then it looked. Even the crinkle cut fries were better then expected bc usually we don't care for them but that's not the case this time. Now on to the most important part, what Culver's is known for, and the main reason we decided to go in the first place after seeing the menu online is the custard. I ordered the chocolate custard with chocolate cake pieces sprinkled on top. Yum....I'm still talking about it. My man got the concrete mix with several additional mix ins and even though it sat in his stomach like it was concrete bc it was so heavy and filling .....but it was worth it and we already talk about when we're going next.
