Worst service from a company I have ever had! If you care about your vehicles interior, do NOT go to Safelite, and especially the Safelite in Springhill! I drove to the closest Safelite, which is an hour away, because they said that my 2023 Kia might require special tools and they could not come to my house (Strike 1). So I made the hour drive over, and when I arrived, the guy behind the desk told me they didn't have a windshield for my car? Mind you the website and texts I received said that if there was any issue with parts, they would let me know before my appointment. When I questioned the guy behind the counter, he stated it's all computer generated, and he has no control over it (pass the buck, Strike 2). Then when I was about to leave, an installer came in and corrected the guy who was gonna send me away with they do have my windshield in stock. The installation didn't take very long, and all the features that are integrated with the windshield work just fine so far. When the work was done, I hopped in and drove the hour back to my home area. When I finally got home, I went to adjust the passenger front seat, and found multiple areas the size of fingerprints of a light yellow substance. Glue? Hand cleaner? The installers lunch? I don't know (Strike 3). I took pics and called Safelite immediately, and the phone goes to a corporate office, not the place that did the work. The person on the other end of the phone said I needed to schedule a warranty appointment and drive another hour there and an hour back home if I wanted my seat cleaned, because the computer says my Kia may need special tools (I am not aware of a special windshield tool that is required to remove stains from a cloth seat!), and it wouldn't allow him to send out a Safelite truck to fix the damage to my seat (Strike 4)! So, I will NEVER use Safelite again, and I will let anyone and everyone know about the worst customer service ever, and definitely steer them away from a company that does not take precautions to safeguard a customers vehicle, or even attempt to fix the problem...
Read moreI’ve never written a review for a business before, but I’ve never experienced such an absolute un-organized/non-communicative business in my life. I was told someone would be coming to my house between 8-12 to fix my windshield. (I had to take a day off of work for this as my schedule is extremely busy.) Well, nobody shows up. I call around 12:15 and let them know. I’m then told they didn’t even receive the glass that they ordered, and the man who was supposed to come out is also running behind. Was nobody going to tell me..? I ask why wasn’t I called and told this information, I’m being told now AFTER my appointment was supposed to be. Then, they tell me they actually DO have the glass and they can send someone out between 1-2. I end up having to cancel a medical appointment I had at 3 because now I wouldn’t be able to make it anymore. Okay, awesome. 2 rolls around, and still nobody is here. I call again, and they tell me he is also running behind.. I get life happens but at least reach out to the customer and let them know, being that my time is just as important as theirs. Do you maybe want to call and let me know instead of me having to track them down? I’m 100% sure if I didn’t reach out I would have heard nothing from them, considering I’ve had to call THEM wondering why I’ve been waiting for 6 hours for someone to come out. They told me they would have someone out after I had called again regarding nobody showing up again at 2. This is probably one of the worst experiences I’ve had considering people take the time out of their schedules to get stuff done, and simple consideration for people who are coming to get services with YOUR business isn’t considered apparently. It’s plain out rude and un-professional. I have wasted almost my entire day waiting around for these people. I will note the lady I talked to at the store was pleasant at least, and so was the man that came out & fixed it. But I would not recommend this place if you’re on a time crunch or actually expect appointments to be when they’re...
Read moreWe 'thought' we had a leak around the windshield that another location had installed a little while back. I pulled the ol' Mustang into our local Brooksville Safelite shop for them to check it out. Once in the office I was cheerfully greeted by Danny, I think he's one of the managers there. After a quick description of our problem, he readily offered to have a look at the car. Several other Safelite guys followed us out.
Jose was one of those guys. He asked if I'd pop the hood open, which I did. He IMMEDIATELY knew what the problem was! He reached into the engine bay and pulled out a rubber plug on the firewall and about 2 gallons of water came gushing out onto the pavement! He did the same on the driver's side. Having a look at these plugs it became apparent they are actually one-way valves, designed to let the water out but not in. They were completely plugged up with bits of leaves and dirt. With a simple clean-out Jose stuck the plugs back into place.
Guess what? On the way home I ran through a huge rainy downpour and NO MORE LEAKS! Jose saved the day, the car's carpet and a whole lot of potential frustration. I hope I never need them but IF I do I know 'Who You Gonna...
