Fujiyama Japanese Steakhouse in Brooksville, Fl.
This place was amazing. One thing to note, it is EXTREMELY hot inside. We were all sweating before we even got to our table. Sitting in front of the grill, it only gets worse. If you have a sensitivity to heat, you might want to skip this place.
We started with the volcano drink. They have it for two, or they have a single. We got the single. It was delicious and packs a punch. I was definitely buzzed. We also got green apple sangria, that was really good. And a strawberry sandria that was delicious. It was like a strawberry milkshake.
We got the coconut shrimp as an appetizer which everybody loved. It comes with this dipping sauce that tastes like a tropical pina colada. I don't eat shrimp, but I tried that sauce and it was amazing. We also got the tempured chicken, which came with veggies. It was also delicious. I didn't take photos of the appetizers. Now i'm sad ha ha.
Our chef was phenomenal. I wish I had gotten his name. But he was very entertaining. He was so happy and upbeat. He made our experience absolutely wonderful. I'm sad to say there was another table next to us. And their chef was not anywhere near animated As ours. I definitely need to call and get his name. Because we will request him next time. It was super fun. Completely believe the chef makes the experience more than the food. Don't get me wrong, the food was good. But the chef in the experience was excellent.
Our server was also very attentive. He seemed a little uptight at first. But as the night went on he loosened up and kinda I got into it a little bit as well and smiled. But he was always on it. Checking on us and bringing drinks.
The rice was delicious. Steak was perfect. The filet mignon melted off the fork! So tender. The chicken was super tender as well. The only thing that didn't really hit was the shrimp. Everyone agreed that it was overdone. He did cook it first. Which I thought was odd since it cooks the fastest. Any other hibachi grill I've gone to, they cook it last.
Our chef did the choochoo train when he lit the onions on fire. He shot sake into everyone (who was willing) mouth. He tossed food into our mouth. (You can pass on anything you don't want or not comfortable with). Just about everyone at our table was upbeat and fun and particiated. Such a great experience. Can't wait to go back. Oh, and the prices? Wooow!!!! We were a party of 4. We paid what my hubby and I usually pay at a nice restaurant for just the 2 of us. I was impressed! Rhe dribks are not crazy overpriced like most...
Read moreWouldn't even give them one star.. My husband and I have been coming here for the past 3 years, lately we have been ordering it to go. NEVER AGAIN!! When we went to pick it up yesterday it came to $67, which we have no problem paying. But, when we got home they had forgotten the rice that comes with the meals. We called back to let them know, the lady said come back and get it and she will give us a partial credit. So we drive ALL the way back to get the rest of our order. The lady tells my husband to wait after she gave him the rice. He waits 10 minutes for the manager to come up to the front, than he comes and tells my husband.. "I'm not giving you a credit". Mind you this is after the lady said we would get one. My husband told him we go there all the time and always spend good money, and now our food is going to be cold. But he didn't seem to care about that or the fact that we had to drive all the back there just for the rice. Everyone knows that reheating this is horrible and chewy. It was absolutely the WORST experience we have ever had. He was really rude and I think that was stupid on their part to loose us as a customer over this. There are plenty other places around that are a lot cheaper and tastes the same. We will NOT be going back EVER AGAIN!. You think they would do the right thing for making us have to go back, and for making my husband wait 10 minutes after being told he would get one. RUDE AND THE MOST HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER...
Read moreOn Sunday April 9, at approx 1:30pm my family and had made prior reservations . We were escorted into the hibachi grill to the right of the entrance area . We were all sitting patiently awaiting our waitress/ waiter to come take orders so meal could be started. . As we are sitting there a cockroach came crawling across the grill . We all got up to leave as that was not part of the meal we wanted nor were we going to partake of . I quietly asked to speak to a manager to which the young lady sitting up front took me to a young lady at the bar area . I told her of the roach and showed her a picture of it to which she wanted me to show her where it had been crawling . I showed her and she began saying , “ You call health dept? We gave bugs poison yesterday .. I so sorry but we gave bugs poison yesterday … You call health dept ?? We gave bugs poison yesterday “ I told her I had just wanted to make her aware that her “ bugs with or without poison “ was not what people wanted to have accompanying them at their meal . She again apologized and again asked if I was calling health dept . I can honestly say I will NOT be returning and I hope the health inspector goes to inspect because I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like if they are crawling in the dining part of restaurant . Health Dept has...
