Culver's has invaded Florida & the hype drew me in. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't all that the hype led me to think it would be, either. Compared to other fast food offerings in the area, Culver's gives the impression it's a little more "fancy" than the rest. Everything was especially shiny & new looking, so I'm guessing this location is fairly new.
I ordered the Double Butter Burger with the toppings of my choosing, a piece of Fish a' la carte, & a small soft drink. It's hard to gauge the value these days, but at nearly $16, and the single battered fish filet coming in at a mere .80¢ less than the double burger, I feel like it's a little on the high end of fast food. All the ingredients on my burger were fresh & the red onion was a nice touch. They added cheese to my sandwich, which is a hard no for me, but replaced the burger lickety split & let me keep the cheeseburger. Extra points in my book. The fish filet is very reminiscent of Long John Silver's (remember those guy's?) albeit quite a bit thicker portion. Like the burger, the fish wasn't bad, but not spectacular. Guess I'm ruined by the fresh local offerings.
The employees were extra nice & very helpful. Everything was super clean in appearance. Plenty of seating and not too crowded at 4 p.m. TV monitors were strategically placed in the dining area, but they droned Culver's ads & Culver's-related trivia the whole time. C'mon guys, I'm already here. Why immerse me in Culver's everything? It seems a little narcissistic & off-putting to me.
In all, it's an okay place to eat. Better than the golden arches, on par with Wendy's. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. If you happen to be an ice cream fanatic (or from Wisconsin) you may...
Read moreThis is the worst experience ever. We love going to Culver's. We went grocery shopping and decided to stop at Culver's . We only live about 3 miles from there so we stopped and placed our order through drive thru. On the receipt it said 2:09pm we received our food at 2:15pm. Once we arrived home we sat down to eat the food was disgusting look to it. It looked like it was served from yesterday's order. We headed back to Culvers and called and fortunately the manager Joseph answered. I explained to him that we were not happy with our food and he told us that he would take care of our sitiuation. When we arrived he took care of us promptly and took a look at our food and agreed that the food looked nasty, his words. All of a sudden a gentleman approached Joseph as he was asking us if we wanted a new order or our money back. The guy was the owner and the owner commented that we will take care of it and told Joseph " just give their money back and send them on their way. The food was punched at 2:09pm and it is 3:09pm" My husband told him that the customer is always right and I told Joseph that he was rude and he needs to learn good customer service. The owner walked back to the kitchen saying comments under his breath. Joseph apologized for the misfortune and gave our money back and pleaded for us to come again. I dont know why the owner turned out to be so rude, because he yelled out as we were leaving you couple have a goodnight. This was a terrible experience and the owner was not good role model for the rest of this young staff. I will suggest that no one come to this place if you cannot stand by your word of how your order...
