The employees are great and working hard every time I go here, but the way Aldi understaffs them and has put in their poorly designed self check outs sucks. Walmart has been getting more business from me and many others I know who now avoid Aldi for larger shops for our families because those self checkouts are annoying and barely have any space to even lay out items at all. Then when the only cashier is also having to stock etc between customers they are flat out acting like we’re supposed to just use the self checkout because they are over worked/acting as stickers on top of being the only people to be the cashier to check people out….. At least that was my last experience at this location. I ignored the ushering people towards the self checkouts because I had an nearly over flowing basket of food a few weeks back now and I refused to try and sort it all in the very limited/small and poorly designed area of the self checkouts. I know how to use it but I shouldn’t HAVE to.
Do better also and staff your stores better if you expect families to shop there. Your prices are barely even worth the hassle anymore. I’ll do only small shops there but even that is annoying since I’d prefer to do it all at once with my limited time to shop. I used to love Aldi and I still enjoy many things I can find there but the lack of staffing cashiers and making it where they even expect you to just use the self checkouts is gross. Read moreToday I visited Aldi with my kids, we finished our food shopping and headed to the check out line. As we made our way there, I realized the cashier was the same young lady who on multiple occasions has given us a hard time. Immediately I thought "ugh here we go." She is always very unpleasant, rude, and abrasive. As a customer I never feel welcomed when she is there. On our last trip to Aldi, she was sweeping up the store, instead of moving to one side so that the customers could make there way around, she made us move out of her way. Today as I was checking out, she rudely asked for my ID for the bottle of wine I purchased. As I was clearly reaching for my ID, she again repeated "I need to see your ID." I responded "yes, I heard you, I am taking it out" to which she responded "well you didn't answer when I asked for it." There was a line of people behind me and, as I bagged my groceries off to the side, I observed her be rude to the next two customers. Your employee exhibited very poor customer service on many levels and multiple occasions. I have spoken to other employees and management regarding this specific employee and they've apologized for her actions. Unfortunately this Aldi is the closest to my home, I've always enjoyed shopping at Aldi's but I'm definitely considering doing my shopping elsewhere. Read moreFirst let me say that the employees at Aldi's are very fast and also very helpful when the self-service checkout lines are available they do make sure that other people realize that they're there so they're not stuck standing in line. Now for the bad part the prices have gone up so much it's not even funny anymore I used to make the trip to Brooksville from Homosassa at least twice a week now I do it only maybe once a month sometimes twice a month and I used to get up there for the meats chicken and for the sugar substitute because you can't buy it anywhere else well half the time you can't find the sugar substitutes which really breaks my heart because when I go there I want to buy it all but I try to control myself and just get four bags as for the meat and the chicken and a lot of the produce no I've cut way back the prices have just gotten to be too much I don't understand how people want to fix income are able to pay for food it is extremely hard I mean a lot of times now the vegetables aren't very fresh so my opinion of all these is dropped a bit I think they need to pick up the pace I think they need to maybe start a new trend don't don't place so much on profit if you take care of your customers your customers will definitely take care of you I miss the old Aldi's let's...
