Southside Pharmacy — Local services in Spring Hope

I was lucky enough to meet Matthew and his team this past Friday while picking up my father's prescription.

Apon entering the pharmacy, I was greeted by the staff and the local radio station they had playing both old school and new school HipHop/R&B music (im a music lover, in every genre HipHop being my FAVORITE.), the aroma of candles,and the cheerful laughter and happiness between the lead pharmacist Matthew Osbourne and his associates made my visit to pleasurable ❤️

I would absolutely love to see a soda fountain style counter there someday. One with fresh hand churned ice cream and homemade coke floats !

They encouraged me to look around at their products,aswell as make myself at home while they prepared the prescription .

I explained to them that this was my first time being in the spring hope pharmacy.

As our family always used Bunn drug,who had since closed.

Therefore we have been seeking something closer. And to say the very least I am sure glad we made the transition into SouthSide Pharmacy !

They thanked me repeatedly for choosing them,and assured me that I would be taken care of in a timely fashion,every visit, guaranteed !

Within 10 minutes of entering the facility , I had requested to pick up the medication, And it was counted and put into bottles in a flash

I was asked if I needed any info on the medication, Possible side effects, And or general questions .

And I was about to be on my way home................. Just as something caught my eyes 👀

I couldn't help but admire the big selection of beautiful custom Tumblers, Drinking Glasses, and other custom.Cups on display by the front entrance/exit .

I noticed 3 older style $0.25 candy machines.

I'm a sucker for M&Ms. As I spun the handle and heard the candy on its way to my palm.

Matthew walked up and said the young lady who makes those tumblers you like so much, has 3 young children, whom operate and maintain these candy machines.

Matthew then explained he allows the mother and the children to share a little section of the store front to sell their cups,candies, And other merchandise.

At absolutely little to cost to them,just as long as they maintain a clean and neat space within the store . He then explained how these young ladies come in Clean, Disinfect, And Refill said machines.

Those precious children may not understand right now,but Matthew along with their mother are teaching them the importance of customer care,customer service,and business ownership skills

What a pleasure it must be to come to work there everyday,and be surrounded by such happiness,laughter and all around wonderful people !

Work should feel like a home away from home, ( serious when its time to be serious,and pleasing in the down time) considering we spend such a huge part of our lives surrounded by our co workers,and away from our families.

If it was possible i would have given 100 ⭐

This pharmacy will charge you well above your insurance co-pay for prescriptions if they feel your copay isn't enough. I have BCBS/Caremark and one of my regular prescriptions has a $0 copay. This pharmacy does not like to fill prescriptions that have a zero copay. Last month they charged me $25 and this month increased it to $40 for the same prescription and quantity. Their justification is my insurance company does not reimburse them enough. They stated that they can charge whatever they feel is a fair amount and that amount can vary greatly from month to month. In the 20 years, I have been covered by this insurance company, I have used many different pharmacies ranging from large chains to small neighborhood pharmacies, and never have I encountered a pharmacy that charges more than the stated co-pay. I would avoid this pharmacy and use one that will honor your copay. I use a small pharmacy in Garner called White Oak and they are absolutely amazing!! It's a bit of a drive but since I go into the Raleigh area to shop quite regularly, it's not a big deal. I will be steering clear of this place...
