Dollar General — Local services in Spring Lake Township

The staff is always helpful and friendly. The new set up of the store is really nice along with the selection of food items. Now that we are back on daylight savings time it seems to me that the hours would or should be back to open later than 8:00 p.m. I can not tell you how many times I have needed to stop there for items on my way home from construction that I have to drive back to another store in Grand Haven like Meijer or Walmart, because I refuse to go to Orchard Market. I live 2 blocks from your Spring Lake Store, so it is very convenient to shop there. The middle isle boxes that are strategically placed on an angle are a bit annoying as well. My wife have been village residents for 14 years we love shopping at this location, so thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully you will soon get back to hours that are what...

To start the store was a mess! Boxes everywhere you could hardly walk through the isles! After finding my items (surprisingly)I went to cash out, only one self serve register was being used, customer was having trouble, and an employee kept going in and out of door for employees. As I wait, probably 4 minutes at this time, the lady at the register finally says can anyone help me? I asked someone stocking they said they didn't work there. The woman finally comes out smacking her lips from eating something walks over to help, didn't say a word....I thought how rude! After waiting to cash out, with no recognition I set down my items and left. I will never return and will steer others to other...

I have done SO much shopping here, and always had a decent experience, today however the cashier was EXTREMELY rude! After standing in line for ten minutes with ONE person in front of me who the cashier was just chit chatting with I was extremely hot and took a sip of my water that I had in my cart to purchase along with several other things. I FINALLY get up to the register and the woman was nasty and snoty to me about opening my water before I purchased it. Sorry next time I guess while your on social hour I'll just pass...
