Love in Action Upscale Resale Store — Local services in Spring Lake Township

Prices are high. Staff was rude. Seemed to be two people working, although one disappeared as soon as it got busy at the register.

At first, I took about twelve hangers of clothing up to the counter and handed them to the clerk…no customers waiting to be checked out. Told her I’d let her get started on those while I shopped in baby section. I’m thinking I’m being helpful so someone else doesn’t have to wait behind me for hangers to be removed, clothing folded, etc. I come up with my hands full again ready to check out.

I’m told by clerk (older lady) that they prefer that all purchases be brought up at once. I reply that my hands were full. She said “we do have carts.” I shrug and say, well I’m ready to check out now. Purchased over $200 and she seemed put out to have to wait on me. Three customers pile up in line behind me. I can only imagine how long it would have taken if I hadn’t brought the first load up early.

She said they didn’t have big enough bags for all I’d bought and I’d prob have to make multiple trips to get it out to my car, almost as if to discourage me from buying it.

I said I’d pay so she could wait on the next customer, and that I’d go out to my car and get my own bags. So I go out to the car and return…she says that she found two items in the pile that I hadn’t paid for. So I pay for those and bag it all. In the meantime, she had made the other customers wait in line while I was getting the bags, even though the clothing was paid for (except the two items she’d missed) and waiting on the counter for me to bag.

Inefficient, impolite, and over priced. After getting home and trying on, I’ll be returning some of the items.

Great store have been going for a few years..Some staff are genuinely polite and happy to work there, I always look forward to seeing them. However there is a bad apple in the bunch ( there always is!!) s he clearly does not enjoy working there , maybe a class/ trainin g in customer service would help this gal out?? Or just quit? You would be happier I would think?? Good luck to you and I hope you find more peace than sorrow...

Just so disappointed with this place. I've been going for years and don't ask me why I keep coming back. However no one and I mean NO ONE ever had welcomed me in the store or acknowledge me or even said Hi to me. I'm so upset that this keeps happening. I will not be back. It probably happens to everyone. It's not a welcoming location. Today is the last and I'm sad because I love supporting...
