Was shopping here with 7 kids and as I was personally discussing my decision to not purchase something with a child, the lady at the stand called me an F** B and continued to rant and rave as well walked away all because we chose to not buy her stuff. We didn't even come here for clothing we came her looking for daycare supplies a d furniture gently used. The kids were all worried and asking what if she starts a fight or follows after us.
My family and business associates have been coming here to shop for gently used goods and products for our business, personal desires and use to set up stands here, for over 14 years. If this is the type of individual they allow in here now to bring business to their Flea Market, we will never return as well as my other associates and family. It seems like a major safety concern. She is obviously not mentally healthy and has no descentsy or respect for the community that comes and dumps their money into this place. I approach a young girl who was walking with a clipboard to find somebody in charge to report the matter and the young girl said she was "kind of the the person in charge for now" and after discussing it with her, she said she would go talk with her. She also all but immediately knew who I was talking about and even described her as the lady with big puffy blonde hair with lots of clothing. The kids and I hung around the food building for about 20 minutes after, eating our ice cream and the girl had still not came back out and definitely didn't head that way to speak with the woman. That lady should be banned from setting up a stand here. There should also be some sort of general security and adult or official professional management system and individuals in place during operation.
Additionally as the kids and I made our way through other stands there was a kind man with a stand set up with an older, beautiful tuo pick up truck not causing any harm to anyone. He turned his truck on for maybe 2 minutes and some lady started cursing at him and screaming making a scene. I believe all he was trying to do was try to plug something in to show somebody something quickly maybe or play music possibly. Again, where are the Flea Market officials or secirity... or any employees other than food stand. They let people in here, collect their money and they leave. Maybe they could do that 10 years ago with no issues, but its apparent now days people need authority every where you go, even in general public events...sadly.
Very disappointed. Hopefully they fidn a way to Male some changes to make this a safer feeling environment and an appropriate, community friendly and family oriented...
Read moreA great place to find just about anything... definitely more to see during the warmer months, though! I would give it 4.5 stars if that were an option (half star deduction because it can get very dusty on dry weeks and muddy during wet ones).
In response to the first reviewer: there probably isn't a whole lot to see there on a Saturday since they are only open on Sundays!! This is clearly stated on the website but you must have missed that part. Hope you didn't have to drive too far!
"Open every Sunday April - November,...
Read moreI was here to check out the flea market on a Sunday morning. There are some serious chunks of asphalt and rocks in the parking lot and in some of the walking areas so watch out! Several different food vendors, I wish I would have gone there hungry. Decent sized flea market but next time I'll go earlier as I went closer to closing time and many people were...
