So, I'll start by saying the first time I went here was a couple of weeks ago and had an amazing experience, the massage was great and great price for the basic massage, no pressure for add Ons or any uncomfortable interactions just a really good massage and a promise to come back, I went again the other day since being a heavily active construction worker on top of physical conditioning I get incredibly sore and wore out honestly the only thing I look forward to is a massage when I have time, I walked in got greeted and chose my massage a deep tissue, the women suggested a table shower with body scrub, I had no idea what it was so I agreed and asked " what that is exactly" she just said "it's a table shower good and I'll like it" I obviously could tell there was a bit of a language barrier but that's okay and I figured it would be like a table with jets and hot water with some kind of special body scrub stuff, I got to the room and get on the table for my massage the women comes in and starts off gently which is normal to start and get more into a deeper rhythm right, that never really happened, basically it was just a caressing massage and nothing more than my epidermis being tickled, I'm not sure if the women didn't know it was supposed to be deep tissue or if she didn't have the capability to do so, I really don't expect anyone to break their fingers on my back but not just glide their hands over my skin, after the massage I was told come to the table shower I got up covered myself with the sheet and put on the slippers they gave me followed the women to the room where she was warming the water, she then looked me dead in the eyes and said " okay take off underwear and lay face down" as she gestured to remove my underwear, let me say I am incredibly shy and anxiety was setting in, she pulled the sheet away from my waist and I just stood there covering my groin and shaking my head saying " hey I'm not doing this I want to back out, is there anything else other than this, because I'm incredibly shy and uncomfortable" I went back and forth with this women for a couple of minutes as she was trying to convince me to get undressed and on the table she then got the other lady and she asked what was wrong I explained that I didn't know what it was prior and that's why I was asking first and I just don't want to do this is there any other alternative suppositions in place of the table shower she said "no refunds no acceptations " I never asked for a refund, she kept telling me I'll like it and to cover myself with a hand towel that's no bigger than a 4 year olds sock then she brings me a slightly bigger one, I just shook my head and told them no I'll get dressed and go its fine, I covered myself with the sheet and started to walk back to the room when the second lady said I could get extra time for the massage I agreed and went back got on the bed and got a whole 10 minutes of a foot massage that was really uncomfortable due to the women asking every five seconds if I'm okay and literally just caressing my feet which I'm not a huge fan of my feet being touched anyways, afterwards I got dressed and headed to the front exit, both women were there and the one that gave me my massage handed me a water and I think was asking about a tip which I tipped a good 40% with the card prior, the other lady just stepped in and wished me a good day and I left feeling really awkward and kind of uncomeatable a bit taken advantage of in a way, I'm really not downing anyone or trying to get anything back due to the fact of me not knowing and being naive to what it was prior, but honestly just a really uncomfortable and awkward situation, due to me being shy and very introverted just having a massage is difficult enough as it is, just wanted to get this out there since I've never really left a poor review...
Read moreEdit from my review⌠I wrote my previous review in response to the lady at the front who offered to give us a free body scrub after a 5 star review, of course I did because who wouldnât want a free body scrub. Which I hope they donât offer to others only because they want good reviews.
My friend took me here on a spontaneous massage real late at night, and we went here because of the good reviews. I havenât been to too many places
but I expected to pay after the session not before, very weird but what I can expect from something 24hr.
We waited for about 25 min before we had someone come in our room, the massage itself was pretty good, we both got the basic massage for an hour. (With free body scrub with review)
The massage started with us laying under a cover while they massage, about 10 min into it, my friend asked for them to use lotion vs laying underneath a cover which is how I have always gotten a massage, hand to skin. Which I thought was a little weird but whatever. Like I mentioned, the massage was okay.
Itâs very sad that my friend who also wrote her review got such a bad response from the owner as we did tip pretty well, way more than what theyâre implying. In the end, just go wherever you feel comfortable or during a...
Read moreIt was a clean location since itâs been renovated with new ownership for about a year.
My initial thought was to start off with a 1/hr massage that should have cost $75 on their fees up front. Instead, they suggested if I wasnât sure, to choose the 30 minutes massage If I wanted to double my time, I would just ask. Seemed simple!
I decided during my massage to continue on to an hour to continue on my nap, and they later charged me at checkout the 30 min. fee twice, but with the sly upsell, I somehow actually paid $119 for an hour and thatâs excluding the tip I later felt obligated to add.
If I wasnât so tired, I wouldâve mentioned how unfair it was. I would have appreciated integrity with pricing and a good deal since the massage therapist I had wasnât professional with deep tissue, but kind of just stuck me with a thumb and kneaded here and there.
Chinese Massage shops are always a hit or miss for me. This location unfortunately was a miss and lost a possible regular for just a hustle of a few bucks more than their stated normal fees at...
