Read moreIt is my wife's Birthday and took our family here. My wife and I ordered pork katsu curry. My son had chicken. We also ordered Naan, and karaage as appetizers. Naan was good, karaage was ok. Both pork katsu's were bad. As in spoiled meat, sour, awful. Literally spoiled and you could even smell it. We let our waitress know, and let her know that we would like to just get chicken instead. Sooooooo. They leave our plates in front of us, and about 15 minutes later my wife and I got small side plates with chicken on it. Our original plates still in front of us for some reason. I let them know as it was spoiled and now cold i would like it gone. They took both plates, left us with the side plates of chicken and then about 5 minutes later got our plates back. Exact same plates, only the pork was removed, except they left the same rice, same curry sauce, the rotten pork's panko crumbs, and the rotten juice from pork still in our rice and now the chicken was cold sitting on it's lonely side plate. I then told the manager that was absolutely disgusting. He did not care at all. He was rude. He acted as if I was the problem. He served me ROTTEN PORK TWICE!!!! I told them I would pay for the Naan and the other appetizer that was barely eaten (I shouldn't have). That manager needs to be fired immediately. If he is actually the owner, he needs his business license pulled. This is criminal. Tgis place is disgusting and they don't even care. I would love to sit down and have a conversation about this with the owner or a manager that actually cares. This ruined my wife's birthday dinner and the criminal actions that this establishment did to us need to...
Read moreI had a great and filling meal at this establishment. It really felt like a local mom and pop spot. Friendly and attentive service. The interior is a bit outdated, but clean overall.
For appetizers, we got the deep fried siu mai, takoyaki and chicken kaarage. I would pass on everything other than the takoyaki which came out hot and flavorful.
I got the small curry with chicken tenders and spinach at level 5. I found this spiciness level to be the perfect spot for me as someone that likes closer spice right before medium. If that makes sense. My brother, who loves spice, was a chicken and got level 7 and it was not spicy enough for him.
About the portion sizes (the amount rice and curry you get): I found that the small is more than enough. I still had a small portion of rice leftover but my siblings that got regular left even more their rice. This is especially so if you decide to get more than one topping.
The curry flavor was on point. The chicken tenders were moist and the spinach added great texture to the curry. I found the tenders to be more enjoyable to eat than the regular chicken katsu, which I assume is just chicken breast. My sister didn’t have any complaints though so if you’re on a budget, it probably won’t make a difference.
The social media manager of this place also does a good job of showing what’s happening in the kitchen. It really sold me on trying to make...
