Services 0 star. Food 2 stars, atmosphere 3 stars.
We came here 4 people ( myself and 3 aunties) with a recommendation from my auntie’s friend who is working for the city and living in Vegas. The atmosphere was nice, Chinese style. We called 3 rice plate with 1/2 crispy bbq pork belly and 1/2 chicken as per the recommendation. Rice was very hard and dry to chew so we could not take more but decided to take it to home and will cook again at that friend house later. We sat in restaurant just like 10 minutes and was ready to leave.
Chicken was ok, crispy pork skin was a bit hard, not crispy much so it was not as excellent as we expected. However, as a tourist we were in happy mood so we did not complaint or give any feedback to the restaurant , we thought it was cooking style here and respect it. Thing got bad when we asked boxes to take all left over food that we could not eat there with the reason mentioned above. My auntie asked the waitress if we could get container for ginger sauce, the waitress who could speak Vietnamese and Cantonese told us it is $1 for the extra. My auntie meant to ask an empty container to put the left over sauce separately from food , did not meant to ask for another sauce but we guessed she misunderstood so we said it was ok, we put sauce together with meat. My auntie then paid the bill, they accepted cash only so she gave $60. Our total bill was about $56 something ,they gave back to us changes, my auntie left the change like $4 with some coins on the table, we asked other auntie to put more as we have no more small notes, the other auntie did not notice while she was talking and we thought she got it so myself and auntie left table to go restroom. While we were standing to go to restroom, the waitress spoke loudly to our face on the way we walking to restroom “is that your tips???? With that much tips you dared to ask us for extra ginger sauce?”, all table around us could hear it. I was like huh is she really talking to us like that but we headed to restroom did not say anything to her. After coming back, other auntie put more cash to table already, the waitress was standing and staring to the table. I told to them what the waitress said, they were so embarrassed and upset, how could a waitress demand and challenge customer when we were fully respect them and were willing to put more tip , we discussed that we wanted to have tip for the polite waiter who took our order and who also helped us to take a picture at their restaurant. I do not know who is the owner of that restaurant, I am sorry for him/her to recruit that type of employee who can ruin all the business that the owner have been trying to make it stand well on the market. We decided to take back all tips, she did not deserve for any pennies with that kind of low self-esteem attitude . I have been in hotel service for 13 years, we always respect and appreciate clients who come to stay with us, any penny even a candy they give to us we appreciate, we never allow to mock to challenge or demand client on how much tip they have to give us. I hope the owner can read and train that...
Read more[Above all, will I be back?] It was my first visit and New Asian BBQ became my favorite Dim Sum spot in Vegas! Better than the ones on the strip. The general dim sims are delicious and authentic, I like the lively atmosphere (I felt like I was in Hong Kong somewhere). As a Vegas local, I will definitely be back even with my guests from out of the state. Highly recommended.
Food Har Gow (Shrimp dumplings) Average but I'd order it again.
Pork Siu Mai Seasoning was perfect, I will order this again!
Ku Chai Kueh (Chive dumplings) It was pretty good, I will order this again.
Spicy wonton My favorite! Fell in love with it and I will order this over and over! Perfect cooking, seasoning and the sauce. If you like spicy food, this is a MUST!
Short Rib Tasted like Korean Galbi (soy sauce based marinated sweet and garlic) so i loved it!
Choeng Fun (Beef Rice Crepe) I didn't like the seasoning. I won't order this again.
Xia Long Bao Not that impressive because I am spoiled with Din Tai Fung! lol It was juicy but the seasoning was not enough. I won't order this again.
Egg Tart It was surprisingly good. Crunchy on the pastry part, soft egg without the egg smell. I liked it not too sweet. I will order this next time as well.
Egg plant It was good and hope it was more juicy.
Ambience It is a quite large place. The main hall has high ceiling. Casual, lively and busy so it will be loud during prime hours. Customers are mostly people use Chinese characters. The back room we were sitting was more intimate with low ceiling and closer table sitting. The Dim Sum cart were passing by me so close it almost spilt some water? or liquid on my bag lol
Service Most cart ladies don't speak English but you can point out what you want when the ladies show what they have on their carts lol Research the most popular dim sums beforehand.
Hygiene It is an old establishment and it was not squeaky clean but still okay status.
Price It was about $40ish per person including tips.
Location It is on the busiest "Spring Mountain Road" in Chinatown. The next door is Tiger sugar and Photo Thanh. 15 minutes from the Strip.
Parking The parking spots are limited and can be tricky for prime time. The parking became full around noon on Saturday.
ETC There was a 20 minutes wait on Saturday lunch time. Be there early and get a ticket for your turn. You can wait outside the restaurant, they have a screen with your wait number and alarm sound.

Read moreHonestly, I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Please do yourself a favor and never eat here. Their food is not even that good to begin with, but my terrible experience at this restaurant today made me write this review. The service is horrible as you guys can see from other reviews. To make matters much much worse, there was a fly in our fried shrimp. To make it even worse, there was hair in our chicken corn soup. If you enjoy either of these things in your food, this is the perfect place for you. Obviously, we went to complain and most restaurants would be frantic and try their best to calm the situation. Most restaurants would waive the fee of the meal and possibly add a gift card so that we would have some sort of motivation to come back. It took about 5 minutes for the manager to come to our table and after we complained he came back with one shrimp ball! ONE SHRIMP BALL! The meal normally comes with 3 and he tries to compensate for their terrible mistakes with that one measly little shrimp ball. They acted extremely rude towards us and eventually gave in and gave us a 10 dollar discount which we ended up not even using. Additionally, as crazy as it sounds, they literally threatened to call the cops on us because we were complaining. We ended up paying full price, but we will definitely contact the health department and get things sorted out. Honestly, we didn't even care about the money, but when you have to look in your food every 2 seconds to see if a bug or a hair in it, it makes the experience horrible. Overall, the service is beyond terrible. We will definitely never come back here and make sure nobody in our family goes here. Please don't waste your hard earned money...
