For a long time, I had been eagerly anticipating the opportunity to dine at Sushi Neko Supremo. However, the timing never seemed to be right, and I had yet to find suitable companions to accompany me. Finally, that day arrived, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the restaurant's bustling activity and the intense popularity that it had garnered.
Now, let's delve into the star attraction of Sushi Neko Supremo - the All-You-Can-Eat sushi. It was a sushi lover's heaven, with a wide variety of high-quality sushi options available. Whether you prefer classic rolls or more adventurous sushi creations, they had it all. The freshness of the fish and the skill of the sushi chefs were evident in every bite.
Let's start by discussing the piece of Nigri that particularly impressed me, the "Cajun Albacore Nigiri." This dish transported me to flavor heaven. The albacore nigiri was impeccably fresh and tender, but what really set it apart was the Cajun seasoning. The harmonious blend of spices and the delicate searing of the fish created a symphony of flavors that left me completely enamored. It's a flavor combination that I will never forget.
Now, let's move on to the sushi rolls. At Sushi Neko Supremo, the sushi rolls are indeed works of art. For example, the "Dragon's Kiss" roll is a visual masterpiece. It features a perfect balance of creamy avocado, crunchy tempura flakes, and succulent eel, all elegantly wrapped in a vibrant green soybean sheet. The dragon-shaped presentation adds a touch of drama to the plate, making it as beautiful as it is delicious.
The "Spicy Volcano" roll is a must-try for those who crave a bit of heat. This roll is a fiery explosion of flavors, with spicy tuna, jalapeños, and sriracha providing a delightful kick. The creamy avocado and cooling cucumber balance out the heat, creating a rollercoaster of flavors that will leave your taste buds tingling with excitement. I couldn't get enough of their delicious rolls, and the fact that it was an all-you-can-eat deal made it even better. Additionally, being in Las Vegas, they even put a unique roll on the menu to congratulate our very own Golden Knights for their victory, it being the Golden Knights roll. I highly recommend giving that a try to embrace the Vegas culture.
But that's not all; the appetizers were equally impressive. First and foremost, the "Pang!" appetizer is a true showstopper. The moment it arrived at the table, I was captivated by its presentation. Imagine succulent, bite-sized pieces of perfectly seared, tender meat accompanied by a symphony of flavors. The savory and slightly sweet notes danced on my taste buds, leaving me craving more. It's a true masterpiece of culinary craftsmanship that you can't afford to miss.
Now, let's talk about the truffle fries. These aren't your ordinary fries; they are an indulgent treat that takes comfort food to the next level. Each fry is generously coated with a rich truffle infusion, creating an irresistible aroma that wafts through the air. The crispy exterior gives way to a tender interior, making every bite a heavenly experience. The addition of duck fat makes all the difference. These truffle fries are the epitome of gourmet comfort food. They provided the perfect start to the meal. Other appetizers were the tempura, crispy and not at all greasy, and the miso soup was comforting and flavorful.
Now, let's talk about value. At just $29.95 for dinner, the All-You-Can-Eat sushi experience at Sushi Neko Supremo is an absolute steal. Considering the quality and quantity of food you get, it's a fantastic deal that won't break the bank.
In summary, Sushi Neko Supremo has become my go-to sushi spot. The All-You-Can-Eat sushi is a dream come true for sushi enthusiasts; the appetizers are mouthwatering, and the price is incredibly reasonable. This is the place to be if you're in the mood for top-notch sushi. I can't wait to return for another unforgettable dining experience...
Read moreTldr: have eaten at half a dozen ayce sushi restaurants in Vegas during the pandemic, this is the only one I will not return to solely based on the taste of everything I ordered.
I do not understand the hype of this place at all. When we walked in, it took a few minutes for anybody to even acknowledge us and put us on the wait-list. The server was doing double duty as the host, because they were so understaffed for lunch. He was nice though, no problems with the service other than them simply not having enough people.
They have a menu posted on the pillars outside the shop front so we used my phone to make a list of everything we wanted to order, that way we didn't need to waste any time once we sat down. The menu has a wild array of stuff, so I was excited to try a bunch of it.
Word of warning, service was quick. Hilariously quick. The server took down the list we made and then the food started showing up rapid fire. We had to eat fast just to keep space on the 2 person table, you'll see that in my pictures. I've used this ordering method at other ayce like Goyemon, Sakana, Yama...food never comes this fast. So space out your orders, so the food is fresh.
Appetizers were pretty meh. Bulgogi nachos hard pass. Few pieces of bulgogi with cheese dumped on them over chips, then microwaved. The chips were soggy, even the ones without sauce/bulgogi on them. Kalbi was tough. Korean fried chicken was lazy, just small fried chicken pieces with Mae Ploy sweet chili sauce poured over it. Gyoza and Pang were decent, kurobota sausage and pork belly were ok too.
The flavored nigiri was pretty plain and simple compared to other places. The rice was little, but the fish is also super thin. Every fish I picked up broke in half. The sauces overwhelm everything instead of complimenting. Same can be said of the rolls. Just overwhelming amounts of sauces with strong tastes, very unappetizing. One of our rolls was supposed to have deep fried soft shell crab, everyone who has tried this knows the distinctive texture it has - couldn't even tell it was in there. There was no crunch in the fried items like shrimp tempura or even the "crunch" that came with some of the rolls. This was especially true of the deep fried roll we got, just a soggy mess of mush in your mouth.
If there was no other options in town like in my hometown, this place might be acceptable especially considering the price. But with the multitude of other places at a similar price, I can't recommend it and would go everywhere...
