I had my daughter's 7th birthday at Kids Town and it was amazing!! We bought the venue out and had 29 children and about 24 adults.
The venue is perfect for the littles!! While we didn't have any children over 7. I feel like kids might outgrow this stage of play around 8 or 9 tops, I may be wrong! Some parents who have never been here commented that they would bring their child back, that it was a really cute venue! It is large enough for the children to spread out so it's not too crowded in any one mini-busines and plenty of tables, chairs and benches for the parents to sit. The employees came around every-so-often to tidy the toys/accessories, putting the animal stuffies back at the vet, postcards back at the post office and groceries back at the store.
Working with Becky was a pleasure and she made the planning process a breeze! I contacted her 3 months prior to the party date and secured my date with a deposit. She was patient and kind, answering all of my planning questions, making suggestions and recommendations. It was really nice to know that there are add-ons to make the party planning easier on you: scavenger hunt to find a key that will 'unlock' the goodie bags and cotton candy tokens from the 3D cotton candy machine. One month prior to the party the color scheme was verified- as they provide matching balloons, tablecloths, plates, napkins, forks, juice boxes and small 8 oz. water bottles for the amount of children you have in attendance. They also partner with a pizza restaurant and you choose your menu items and they order it for you. Becky was wonderful in estimating the amount of pizza/food we needed and making suggestions when asked. This entire process was seamless and EASY!
The party room is the perfect size! The existing wall decor/backdrop decorations provided were perfect (sheer backdrop with string lights, candy cart display table and vine greenery panels) and could be dressed up to suit any theme. We did bring additional decorations like a balloon garland, some flag banners and a party banner to complete the look and everyone commented on how well decorated it was.
Multiple parents commented on how yummy the pizza was and where I got the cupcakes from. 2 orders of chicken fingers were a hit, the BBQ Chicken Pizza was the first to disappear and it was a really cute touch, that someone from the pizza place drew in the pizza box to wish my kiddo a happy birthday.
Everyone texted and said they had a great time at the party. So I think that sums up our 2 hours at Kids town- it was worth every penny, I had a great experience from start to finish and I highly recommend hosting...
Read moreIf you have a young child ages walking to eight , I highly recommend bringing them to Kids Town to play independently with the other children.
It's the perfect environment for their imagination to grow while exploring their own little town. Imagined by the owners' dream for children to have their own playtown, then hand crafted by her husband. It's the most unique play experience in the area!
Reasonably priced for every two-hour experience, so that with a limited number of children participating at one time, they all benefit from being able to enjoy all the activities within the town. There's everything with working features; from a house, a school, a beauty shop, a pizza parlor, bakery, hamburger shop, car garage. Post Offiice, Toy shop with creative play, a Veterinarians shop to a market with adorable baskets to fill up their grocery cart with actual store items. Every detail is fashioned after real life with the child in mind.
They allow outside food and drink, although one can buy snacks and beverages there, one must sit at the tables proovided across the dividing street from the town to enjoy and watch your child at play.
The restrooms were clean and well stocked. I liked that the water fountain even included free refills for water bottles.
Pictures say a lot, so enjoy the ones I took, and I hope to see you there!!
We visited again for Christmas this year, on December 19th, and our grandson loved it even more I think, at age 4!
The entire staff is kind, couteous, and engaging! I apprecate their generous offerings for...
Read moreLoved this place and found it to be a great place to take my little one. She loved exploring, the bakery being her favorite. My only reason for giving it a 4 was that we had a run-in with what I am assuming to be the owners daughter that was not pleasant at all. First, my little one (1 year old) was exploring the bakery, and the owners' daughter came in and told us that we needed to leave. She wanted to clean the place, and we needed to get out now! Another little girl had come in and was pretending to be baking, but then the owners daughter started to block her by stepping in front of her every time she tried to walk or move or grab anything. Later in the hour my little one was standing on the picnic blanket and the same little girl was riding on a balance bike and went off the "road" headed straight towards my little one stopped with the front tire hitting her legs and then just stayed there squeaking the little horn on the bike at my daughter. Kids will be kids. i totally get that, and it really doesn't change my opinion about this place, nor will it keep us...
