This was only the second location I’ve visited. I normally go to Houston, TX location. But I’m visiting my son and daughter-in-law for the Holidays. I called this location and purchased the BOGO they have on sale. The woman informed me they would send my son a email and this offer would be under his account. Today 12-22-2021 we 3 had 10:45 appointments. We arrived at 10am so my family could fill out their paperwork. The lady at the desk wasn’t wearing a name tag but wore a scarf over her head with two breads coming down the side. We signed in the iPad and she took a look at my sons email she ask to see. So we’re thinking everything is good because she never said otherwise. She took us back we seen the video and off to our pods. After our floats I noticed there was no conditioner available for use. Only Shampoo & body wash. My Houston location has all 3 available for use. Needless to say my hair was extra dry from all that salt water. So exiting out and coming back to the front desk we kinda waited for her to come back to the front before leaving. I asked her are we good to leave? This is when she proceeded to tell me the email my son had needed this barcode and if he couldn’t find it I would have to pay again. I said no Ma’am I’m not. I called this location and purchased here. My DIL found hers in her email she had to click on. And proceeded to show my son how to locate his. She wasn’t rude in anyway just was not clear in her communication to us about exactly what she needed to have. She wasn’t friendly or welcoming to us as we were her first customers for the morning. I felt she just pushed us through and decided herself I’ll finish the process when they come out. We came to have a relaxing experience and that was interrupted by her not taking the time & explaining herself clearly in the beginning when we had allowed enough time. The check in process was painless and the staff was very friendly. We were given a tour of the facilities before heading to the pod room itself.
Each room that houses a float pod has it's own shower. You shower up and insert your earplugs before heading for the float.. The water from the shower seals the earplugs and prevents the saltwater from entering your ear.
The water is filtered continuously through the water jets whenever a patron isn't laying in the pod. It shuts off when you're floating and turns on to notify your time is up. The whole room was very clean with fresh towels provided.
In the pod, I chose to close the lid, kept the lights on and kept their soothing and relaxing music playing during my 1 hour session. The floating sensory depriving experience was very relaxing. Halfway through, I shut off the lights and ended up dozing off for a bit. I left the pod feeling refreshed and relaxed after I showered off the saltwater.
I can see how people could really get into this float therapy. For me personally, this is something I'd love to try right after a deep massage that's borderline painful. I could see the float being even more relaxing afterwards. I'm sure I'll try a float sometime...
Read moreWOW! 😡 I have a hectic schedule with 2 children and crazy/stressful work environment. I was very excited to try this out. I took time off work July 21-23 so I could but unfortunately my uncle passed away and was in WI for a week with my family so I couldn’t make the appointment then. TODAY My daughter and I drive 45 min across town and was 2 min away but would arrive 18 min before my actual appointment 10am and the lady on the phone cancels it on me and says I won’t have enough time to shower, watch a video, and sign a waiver. I understand policy’s but I am fast shower though 18 would be enough time. (MAYBE have waivers online to sign in the future so it doesn’t have to be while we were there watching video) I don’t have a lot of time for myself. The lady doesn’t even ask to reschedule for that day. I said I had a Groupon and it expired soon and didn’t give me any other options I work in the customer service and this is unacceptable you should NEVER leave a phone conversation with out trying to attempt to help the person on the phone, you don’t know there situation.
