Oh, where do I begin...back in 2022, I came out of retirement to work a part time job. Initially, I was grateful for the opportunity. But as time went on, I came to know things that didn't sit right with me. The first thing I noticed, as an employee, you're NOT appreciated what so ever. The more you give, the more that's expected of you. Then, when caught in a rut, I was asked to manage the store because the last three who attempted were complete failures. I wasn't looking for a third career but I felt sorry for the newly appointed District Manager once store manager. Then came the lack of support, the lack of appreciation for long extended work days and being LIED TO. Liars and thieves are not people I care for. Then the lack of consistency in any form of communication.....talk about dysfunctional. Hell the one running these stores either lacks education or is just ignorant when it comes to communication. If you are looking for employment, where the upper management doesn't give a crap about you, lies to your face and never expresses appreciation, doesn't care that you put that business before your own happiness and last but not least, won't pay you a decent wage, go right ahead and apply for a job that has nothing to offer. Someone there is still making in wage, what others, who only have a year or two make. The only positive thing about this job, are the incredible people you get to know. Do yourself a favor, look for a job that is rewarding, not one that takes full advantage of you and doesn't acknowledge your efforts. Although it's pretty compact and limits it's variety, it has a lot of items and cheap can drinks down to $0.39 for Faygo brands. I really like the price range of things it offers and that it's more affordable than other similar shops in town.
