I continue to be impressed by the exceptional service culture and operational efficieny this store exemplifies. I needed to return suspenders for my wedding and order 4 additional bow tie/suspender set and asked if it would be possible to open a Kohl's card so I could get the 35% discount on all 8 I needed. Although this was not an everyday request each and every person I worked with made it seamless. The interaction started in customer service and although a line quickly formed due to my complex transaction the Team leveraged the walkie talkies and within 60 seconds 3-4 teammates converged on customer service. During my interaction my 3 year old was a bit challenging and the teammate grabbed a bear for her too hold! She could have been frustrated with her behavior but instead she came to the rescue and stayed calm. Then Tess came over to help with the purchase and discount from the kiosk and could not have been more pleasant and efficient. When she needed support to find a promo code she quickly called another teammate Ciela (spelling) who returned with a code in a matter of minutes. My purchase was seamless and they all clearly understand the future of retail is all about the experience. After this purchase was complete my daughter wanted to buy a shirt so we ran back over to the toddler section. Once we got in line to make the purchase I heard over the speaker cashiers needed at women's checkout and 2-3 teammates came over to knock down the line. The speed at which the store reacts to the flow of customers is truly impressive. I say all of this with a unique understanding of retail as I currently lead Global Store Experience for a large apparel brand and my hope is that our Teams are creating a culture just like the one...
Read moreOn my last visit, I was followed around by two employees who were under the impression that I was stealing. All I wanted was a few nice shirts for work, but they made me feel like a suspect the entire time I was shopping. I'm not sure why they viewed me like this, but I'm pretty sure it was something simple minded like prejudice. It got even worse during checkout because one of the security tags on the shirt had stabbed me on the hand and the cashier acted like it was my fault that the back of it was missing. Then she proceeded to try her best to get me to sign up for the credit card. I told her I didn't want it so many times that I was becoming frustrated. What Kohls makes their employees do is absolutely awful; forcing people into getting crap they don't want or need. I just wanted some shirts for work, not the worst retail experience of my life. Also, spare me your copy and paste response. Your company is terrible, your employees are quite obviously suspicious of people of color, and I will never recommend...
Read moreNever had issues with this store up until yesterday evening. A customer who spoke a different language was asking the staff a question in English. The staff raised their voice in return at the customer basically yelling at this man. After he walks away, the staff start laughing and cracking jokes about the language barrier. It was extremely tasteless. Moving on… then the older lady cashier with grey hair at register 6 had an AWFUL attitude and acted like my questions regarding an exchange were unnecessary even though I was clarifying what the lady next to her told me ten minutes prior. Also, she was wrong in what she was even telling me…She was absolutely miserable and I can’t believe she’s in a customer...
