My misses, son and I decided to visit Red Robin for our first time on on October 11th 2019. We arrived around 7pm and were delightfully seated immediately. It wasn't very busy, but still steady. Our waitress (Becka) greeted us and was very pleasant. We ordered our drinks, onion ring appetizer, burgers and childrens meal all at the same time. Becka (our waitress) disappeared to place our orders. We waited what seemed an eternity until finally another girl returned to our table with our onion rings. The onion rings were hot, but extremely greasy. We were grateful to receive our appetizer, however, we still didn't have any drinks. As another waitress passed by, we asked if we could have drinks. She promptly returned with our drinks Eventually Becka and someone else returned with our meals. She promptly left us and checked with her other tables. , but we still didn't have cutlery or napkins. We tried to eat our fries, but the my wife's fries were still half frozen and mine were soggy and cool. The burgers were luke warm and the buns were soggy. They appeared to have been sitting for a prolonged amount of time. My black and bleu burger barely had any toppings but my wife's seemed sufficiently topped and were cooked to order. Eventually someone returned with cutlery and napkins and was not seen until we were ready to go. My two year old son was pleasantly patient throughout this event so we ordered him a Sundae. When she brought the sundae and our check, I noticed that the sprinkles on the sundae were melting into the whipped cream and the sunday was completely melted. Rather than complaining, we gave my little boy a straw to drink his Sundae. Before we left I turned to the couple that was sitting next to us and I asked how their experience with Red Robin was. They cringed and furthered their complaining. The burgers didn't taste bad, but experience and and quality was poor. Upon leaving, I called my aunt to tell them that we were coming to visit and she went into a rant about her experiences. I would like to think that this was an experience of circumstances, but I fail to believe that anyone attending Red Robin is not taking a risk. UPDATE: today my misses and I are...
Read moreI visited the East York, PA restaurant for dinner last night and was honestly so disappointed in the experience. I used to come here all the time and the food was great, service was great, and always left with no complaints. I'm not traditionally the one to come on and make bad reviews but the turn out of last night has me a little upset. I ordered an appetizer (fried pickles), it took a little bit longer than normal but not much to be upset about. When the fried pickles came out, they were cold to temp and then they were mush on the one side of them - tasted frozen, almost like they either didn't cook them long enough or they were stuck together and never separated them and just fried them and took them out and dumped them into the basket. Fine, they were $6 no big deal. When the entrees came out, this is when the true disappointment came. It took 45 mins to get our entrees for starters. My son's boneless chicken wings barely had any bbq sauce on them, they were again cold in temp and he only took two bites from his entire dinner. Mine and my husband's burger again, cold in temp. Then the fries were cold as well and the portion of fries given with the meal were so small it looked like we got the last of the scraps. We were offered bottomless fries but at this point we were so disappointed in the food that has already been served we didn't want to have more. Everyone at the table did not finish there food. What's disappointing is, is I wanted to come here to help curb some cost and my last experiences here have always been pleasurable in the past years. I was between here and Five Guys but honestly I should've paid a couple extra dollars to receive a better meal. Food costs are so high right now, people can't afford or tolerate to spend good money for crappy food and it becomes frustrating. I can't even be mad at my serve, Carly, she was pleasant and I truly felt like she was doing her best for what is given to her. She met all the needs necessary to make the dining experience okay. Just truly disappointed I paid $73 for the quality of food when I could've went to Mcdonald's for a better burger and fry. & to add to it all, I'm 28 weeks pregnant and all I was looking forward to was these specific fries and...
Read moreWe went for lunch in York PA location. Place looked clean, we were greeted cordially. So, I expected a nice experience. Just to note, his was my first time in Red Robin. Unfortunately, everything changed after food was brought. We all ordered burgers. My father-in-law's order was wrong. He didn't want to waste the food, so he just ate what he got. I ordered Scorpion burger, but asked to substitute bun with tortilla. My food came out completely not what I ordered, at least by look. Instead of burger looking tower with medium made hamburger, I had mashed ground meat wrapped in tortilla. I also decided not to waste their effort and food, and eat what I've got. It would be fine if it was well made. With the very first bite bitter flavor hit my taste buds, then I noticed that it has fried pieces of dough that are bitter, bitter with old fried oil taste that was jot changed for a long time. I found out that it is part of recipe, fried halapeños in a dough. They were nice enough to offer a change of my order, but I decided to pull them out thinking there is just two or three in it. Unfortunately it became more of me digging into my tortilla wrap and pulling pieces of burned oil dough out. Probably had to accept the offer. But the wrap was so not tasty, with greasy ground meat, no fire flavor, probably just fried on the oil meat, that I didn't want to be disappointed second time by accepting offer. Side I ordered was no better. Parmesan garlic broccoli was just overcooked through and through and no parmesan taste. Felt like steamed broccoli with no taste. They were very nice to take care of wrong orders and take them off of the bill. But I would prefer to have "tasty " experience, have enjoyable food and pay for it with satisfaction of my meal. Not sure about other locatons, maybe there is difference, but I'm not going to be the one to check it. I'll just skip Red...
