Very disappointed on the customer service and appearance of items rented from Carlson for my wedding.
To start, I came in to rent tables, chairs and linens for my wedding at least 3 months ahead. 2 weeks before my wedding, I get a call from the manager stating their was a glitch in the computer, where I was not charged for everything I expected and thought I had taken care of. I had slim to none choices of what to do for other options, other than just pay the remaining balance, that was never stated and probably should have been taken care of when the problem with the computers began. Needless to say, I paid the remaining balance two weeks before my wedding.
Fast forward to the day before my wedding... my fiancĂŠ and I are arranging the chairs and notice the chairs I had rented from Carlson were moldy and some were broke. I never received the âsweetheartâ table, for my now husband and I to sit at, at our reception, so we made do with what we were delivered.
I did contact the manager of Carlson to let them know that the chairs condition when received was not too impressive, which was taken care of by Carlson.
So thank you for that.
Other than that whole situation, I was promised a reimbursement from the issues with the chairs.
After contacting the manager about the wedding chairs rented, she promised there would be a reimbursement to be picked up. I go to the store to try and pick it up, the associate has no clue of what I was even coming in for, looks every where and promises me that someone will meet me at Carlson on Sunday to deliver the reimbursement to me.
After the agreed upon time, I leave. The manager calls me a day later to let me know which associate will be meeting me.
The day to meet comes around, I am there 10 minutes early and wait for this associate to show up for the reimbursement. The associate never shows and I leave, after waiting almost 30 minutes after the agreed time to meet.
Approximately, 40 minutes after the time the associate was supposed to be there and in between me being fed up and leaving. The associate calls me to let me know she forgot what time it was and her kid had been sick.
We finally meet up and at this point Iâm highly frustrated with the customer service received from Carlson.
I understand they were apologetic for the way the chairs were but the whole situation adding up from paying for what I thought was the whole amount and waiting two weeks before my wedding to tell me I owe more, then the chairs being in horrible shape, and the customer service received.
I unfortunately will not recommend this place to anyone needing services...
Read moreBeautiful Regular Arrangements, But a Terrible Personalized One
If I could give zero stars for the custom arrangement, I would. We ordered a very specific floral tribute for my papaâs memorial, expecting it to look like the design on the rightâclean, structured, and clearly resembling the Yankees logo. What we received was the arrangement on the leftâsloppy, unrecognizable, and completely different from what was promised. The random cluster of roses on the logo really threw us off, and made it seem that there was a mistake that had been covered up. Just didnât look cohesive in my opinion.
To be fair, the regular floral arrangements they provided for the service were beautiful, and we appreciated those. However, the personalized arrangement was absolutely terrible. If Carlson and Co. knew they couldnât execute the design properly, I wish they had just been honest and told us instead of attempting it and delivering something so poorly done. It added unnecessary disappointment during an already difficult time.
Writing this review truly makes me so sad because they did an amazing job for my wedding, and nanaâs memorial. I have trusted them as a florist for most of the big moments in my life, and I thought they could have executed the job.
When we brought the issue to their attention, they offered a 20% store credit, claiming they thought the job was satisfactory. This was completely unacceptable. They didnât seem to understand how bad it actually looked or why we were upset. A simple acknowledgment of their mistake and a proper resolution would have gone a long way, but instead, they dismissed our concerns.
If you need standard floral arrangements, they do a nice job. But if youâre looking for something custom and meaningful, I strongly recommend going elsewhere to avoid the frustration and heartbreak we...
Read moreI'm from PA and wanted to send flowers to my sister in GA. Instead of going through FTD, I contacted a person who works in the Springfield, GA, area. She recommended Joanne's Florist. When calling the number, Carlson & Co. answered and stated they use to be Joanne's Florist. I asked for an arrangement in the $40-$50 range that was colorful, with no roses due to it being so close to Valentine's Day. What was sent looks like a bunch of wild flowers with a couple other flowers thrown in. My sister informed me some of the orange flowers have brown on them and when she called to express her displeasure (and texted them a picture), she was told they looked fine to them. As you can see from the 2nd picture, it's states on the bottom ... "We have build an excellent reputation on beautiful flowers and prompt service. If we ever fail to meet your expectations, please let us know." WELL ... THEY DID NOT MEET MY OR MY SISTER'S EXPECTATIONS. I could have had someone go to a grocery store in Springfield, GA, and get nicer flowers for half the price. Will NEVER...
