I chose this boutique because it is local and I prefer to shop local to support the community. To start off, I was early to the appointment and asked if I could look at the dresses before hand. I was very rudely told “No. Come back at” my appointment time. If I would not had been charged $40 for canceling my appointment after the 2 weeks allowance or for not showing up at all, I would have never stepped foot back in that door. I had decided then that I was not going to buy from her. After I arrived for my appointment time, the owner had a complete attitude change. I was informed that I could not look at dresses and it was a no touch boutique, I could only try on what she picked out. Apologizing saying she was trying to finish up with bride. I had sent images of specific dress styles and there were only 2 options. None of the other dresses fit what I was looking for. I found myself wondering why she did not tell me beforehand that she did not have many options of the style I wanted and had attempted to substitute for a dress that had a similar skirt style but was nowhere near what I had in mind for the style of the top. While I was changing, the owner left the door that had a straight view of the front of the shop and out the front window wide open. I also did not like the fact that the owner would toss the dress on the ground for me to step into and then would throw the dress I had previously taken off to the side on the floor. She also had me try on a dress that was the complete opposite of my style but I felt pressured to try on and tried to convince me to like it even though I was visibly uncomfortable in it. It felt like she was forcing her opinion of what an acceptable dress was for me and not listening to what I was telling her. There was one point where I tried on a dress that was incredibly itchy to me and she tried to force me to go out in it and I had to tell her no multiple times after I made her aware the dress was very uncomfortable to me. Her attitude made me very much aware that she was not happy that I did not go out in a dress she picked out for me and wanted me to show. My appointment was supposed to last 2 hours and did not even last an hour due to the fact that she did not have many of my dress options. She did not offer the people I brought with me any water or anything at all. When it came to the end of my appointment, she proceeded to make it sound like she would only sell me the dress if she liked how it looked on me. Overall, I did not like how I or my guest were treated nor did I like finding out the dresses I were trying on had been thrown around on the floor multiple times. A week or so after my appointment, she did check on me, which I had no problem with. The problem I had with her texting me is that she felt like she had the right to see the dress I ended up choosing from another boutique. Which made me uncomfortable and I did not think it was any of...
Read moreI went the the Madeline Bridal Boutique in February 2025 with a few close family and friends. Overall it was a wonderful experience. The space was cute and inviting. If offered a comfy spot for my guests to gather and give their opinions and reactions to dresses
The owner help quite a bit. This was my first time trying on wedding dresses, and I had no idea where to start - and from the different styles I sent her, she probably knew that! We tried on different styles and cuts to narrow down what I liked best.
My overall favorite part was that the owner made sure my opinion and my voice did not get lost in those of my guests. It is hard sometimes when there are multiple opinions, especially when they might not match your own. She did a great job of navigating through this.
My only hiccup was not so much anyone's fault, but still want to mention to others that might read to get a feel of the experience. Please keep in mind that this is a small, locally owned boutique, and not a large warehouse. I looked through the designers offered at the boutique and sent multiples of dresses I had fallen in love with, to realize they were not at the store. It is just not possible to hold that many dresses in side store - physically or financially. The designers do use similar styles and techniques in multiple dresses, so in the end it worked out and I found a perfect dress! BUT go in with the mindset of finding styles and dresses you like and not a specific one. The owner was open and honest about this conversation and it helped my...
Read moreI had the most wonderful experience with Sharon at The Madeline Bridal. I made my initial appointment spur of the moment, so it was just myself and Sharon. I so appreciated that I was the only bride in the shop and there was not a lot of outside stimuli as wedding dress shopping can be so overwhelming in and of itself. Sharon had selected approximately 10 dresses for me to try based off the information I had given her. We went through all of them and I went back to the first dress. She had me pegged!…A few months later and I just picked my dress up today. Her measurements were spot on and my dress was stunning! I can’t wait to present myself to my fiancé in this beautiful gown. Thank you so much Sharon! My experience with you was one of the easiest of all in my wedding...
