Dirk’s Tavern — Local services in Springfield

WHERE DO I START? The area is so very historic and you see it in the shops and the buildings. Quite a sight as your driving or walking to Dirk's Tavern! You come to the front door stepping on vintage 1" square tiles that are great! You open the vintage glass paneled wood framed door noticing the show windows on either side and the ENTIRE place takes you back to the 1800's. It's hard to focus on the reason you came. Once you snap out of it you see huge dragon heads and Beholder Is watching it all!! Ben was super nice and knowledgeable. One of those people that If he's mad at you, it's probably your fault 😀. I went to buy some sealed Duskmourne MTG product and he kicked in some bonuses which was unexpected and very much appreciated! There were others there and unfortunately I didn't get names. Something tells me I will see them again. They have a great selection of products like ,Magic The Gathering, Lorcana, Pokemon, etc.. D&D and Miniatures and Board games 🎲 ... They hold events and so much more. I was so happy to find a Game store that is so close to my house. A close bunch of folks that I could walk to that doesnt have a board of directors! It's been a year since the first time I walked into Dirk's Tavern, and I am so thankful I did. Not only are they my go to place to buy all things gaming, it's a great place to hang out and play games. It's not just a game store, it's a welcoming community. Update: STILL AMAZING!!!! // Amazing place, amazing people! Ben and Nate are the most welcoming, warm individuals. They will answer any/all questions about the games, how to play them, etc. And they never make you feel like any question is stupid. The Thursday night Magic group is so awesome, just a bunch of really great people. The play is casual, everyone is patient and helpful. I have never had a better time at a shop....
