I want to share my recent experience with Springfield Speaker. It was really good. 👍 I have an old Cadillac DeVille and the foam surround of the subwoofer in the rear deck crumbled. I purchased a refoam kit from large and well-known company in California but the refoam kit they sent that was claimed to be a perfect fit was not. I contacted that California seller and they refunded my money right away but didn't want to take time to find a replacement from their inventory using photos and measurements I sent. It turns out that the subwoofer in that car is an oddball Delco speaker that cannot be replaced and no one I spoke to knew of a refoam kit that would work. I contacted Springfield Speaker and spoke with Paul. He took time, past his closing time, to understand my situation. He knew his stuff; asked me for some measurements and immediately knew that a JBL refoam kit for a Lexus would fit perfectly. I had my doubts but I was impressed with Paul, clearly an expert on his business and more importantly he was sincerely interested in helping me solve my unique problem with a level of customer service that is rare today. I placed the order, the price was great, it came quickly, and it fit perfectly, making what I thought would be a difficult repair into a very easy job. It's back in the DeVille and sounds great! Read moreI purchased a repair kit from Springfield Speakers. I must admit I did not used it for some time, so glue dried out. I inquired through their website for advice on adhesive. It took me three (3) emails (2 friendly reminders) to receive a response from Paul J Betzold. Inquiry was sent on 10/21 and reply received on 11/30. No apologies for the delayed response, just a recommendation to purchase a “tube of Testors model airplane glue from a local hobby shop, as it will he inexpensive”. If it’s so “inexpensive”, what’s about sending a free tube to your customer as a courtesy? Disappointing experience and poor client service.
PS - reply from business owner below confirms my poor experience. It's not about "freebies", it's about replying to a client inquiry without having the client sending 2 reminders ! I am sorry but Springfield Speaker failed and reply with passive...
Read moreVery bad customer support. I ordered and L7 rebuild kit. The package was stolen off of my front porch. With a few other packages. When i reached out to them and asked them what could be done. Even offering to send them the police report that I filed. With other neighbors reports that had packages taken from them that same day. All i got was a response from "Paul" Asking if the address was correct. I asked if they were able to work with me on reordering another kit. No response. They seemed happy to take my money and not help at all. Very sad. Side note. All other packages that were taken from me that day, The vendors were able to send me another or reorder at a very discounted price. Springfield was the only company that just did not care or respond...
