I ordered a cake for my mother's 80th birthday. A two-tiered round cake with rosetts around the bottom and scrolling around the top. When I called back the next week, I spoke with the young lady that said she would be making the cake. She had a picture. I talked with her in length about the color. As everyone's interpretation of color is different, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't pink. I did not want it like the picture which was more pink in color. I wanted it to be a dusty rose almost mauve color. I used those exact words. She said she understood. So when my sister picked the cake up, it was pink. Like baby shower pink. Seriously! So while the cake was very pretty and looked very similar to the picture, it was pink. We obviously ate it and it was good. (my mother of course had no idea it was the wrong color).
