TJ Maxx has gotten ridiculous on their pricing. Even their clearance items! every time I pick some thing up I almost immediately laugh before I put it right back down. Also, every time I’m there, someone has brought their dog with them. And NO, NOT A SERVICE DOG. Just a pet. It is completely beyond me why all these retailers these days have started allowing people to bring their pet into stores where there are little to no pet supplies. The last time I was there some lady was letting her dog “try out” one of the pet beds! if you have a dog that is one that will mark its territory, you might get home with a new pet bed, your dog would smell another dog on it and you know what happens from there. How are we to know, after seeing a full sized dog in a store, that that dog has not peed on some thing that I might buy.? I don't like dogs. So I don't like dogs in places where I shop. it makes no sense to me why store owners or store managers would allow this to happen when there is a risk of somebody slipping in a puddle of pee, of somebody buying merchandise that has been peed on, or of that dog attacking one of their customers. It's an insurance liability and it's disrespectful to those people that aren't dog lovers. I don't bring my cat shopping with me. She would claw anyone that tried to touch her! Why would people want to bring...
Read moreMostly a pretty good retail outlet! You might be surprised to learn that the company is part of the tjx companies which also owns home goods/home sense, and other discount retail chains Sierra in the United States, Marshalls in the US and Canada, and Winners in Canada. Under the name TKmaxx, its parent company TJX operates stores throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Australia, Poland, Austria, and The Netherlands. It sells men's, women's and children's apparel and shoes, toys, bath and beauty, accessories, and home products ranging from furniture to kitchen utensils.
TJ Maxx and Marshalls operate as sister stores, and share a similar footprint throughout the country. While their prices are nearly identical and they have similar store layouts, TJ Maxx has a more upscale appearance than Marshalls and typically sells a larger range of fine jewelry and accessories. Some higher-volume stores have a high-end designer department called The Runway.
The CEO of TJX companies is...
Read moreDisorganized, stuff is everywhere, on the floor, piled on shelves they don't seem to belong on, and just a mess, can't find anything. You have to walk all over the store wandering around. I am convinced the employees are putting back nicer things for re-sale and not even putting them out on the shelves. Every time I go I never find what I'm after, even though I see many other people posting on social media the things they find-our Springfield MO store never seems to have them in stock. And employee told me they get a truck every day but Sunday, but oddly enough name brand licensed merch seems no where to be found. Tired of driving out of my way to go there. The website is worthless. I searched for "Strawberry Shortcake Blanket" and the results I got were laughable-"Some of our brands are shy, please visit our store to see our large selection". I mean, what? Last time I went I couldn't even find ANY throw blankets. It's all a scam to lead you in and then hope you buy over...
