They informed us at the beginning of the season to come bright and early Halloween day and that we could purchase some of the Halloween display items. We even wrote our name and information down in a journal for this very reason. October 30th comes around. Still no call. We show up today October 31st, and they lied to us and another group of people saying that they "called everyone." One flabbergasted guy speaks up and says, "We never recieved a call. Why do you think we are all here?" My friend and I speak up because we are also left dumbfounded. We never recieved a call. Either of us. We checked our phone history again just to make sure we were wrong. Nothing.
At least have the decency not to lie to our faces, and send a call out like you said you would. Why tell people false information like that? Some of us drove 30 minutes to Spirit just to be told lies. The workers here are very deceitful and terrible people. Springfield is not a great place to shop at.

Read moreI love this store. We all do. I love that they host local fundraisers for sick children. However, what I do NOT love is the utter lack of respect these chronically-online employees have for those who cannot donate to their very respectable fundraiser. I was verbally guilted and entertained with a story from an employee on how they told some teenagers they “SHOULD feel bad” for not making a contribution while the other employee LAUGHED and agreed. This seemingly small anecdote shocked me once i left the store and I have no idea what business someone should have telling ME what to do with my money especially if they are not regularly contributing themselves.
