Culver’s delivers top-tier fast food comfort, every single time.
From the moment you bite into the Original ButterBurger, you're greeted with rich, buttery softness that perfectly complements the juicy, never-frozen beef. It may sound simple—but it’s flawless simplicity: that soft, toasted bun + seared patty combo reliably hits the spot every time.
Then there are the Wisconsin Cheese Curds—a side you’ll crave long after your visit. Golden-crispy outside, molten and gooey inside, they’re indulgent and addictive.
For something more elevated, try the Mushroom & Swiss ButterBurger. Earthy mushrooms sautéed in garlic and butter, melty Swiss cheese, all piled on that same buttery bun—it feels like you're enjoying a gourmet burger at a drive-thru price.
If you fall for a warm, creamy dessert, Culver’s frozen custard is often the highlight. Imagine super-smooth, thick soft serve flavored fresh all day—perfect on its own or in a loaded Concrete Mixer.
Other real standouts include their Original Chicken Tenders—though inconsistent from location to location, when done right they’re crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and fun to dip. The North Atlantic Cod Dinner also impresses—hand-battered cod that’s tender and flavorful, with great tartar sauce.
On the flip side, the grilled chicken sandwich can feel disappointing—often dry and bland, even as recent 2025 upgrades haven't fully turned opinions around.
You might also want to skip the crinkle-cut fries; they frequently arrive lukewarm with inconsistent seasoning and pale in comparison to the curds and mashed potatoes.
Overall impression? Culver’s nails comfort food with consistent quality and honest flavor. The burgers feel classic but perfected, the sides—especially cheese curds and custard—are addictive, and even the lesser items tend to be decent. If they get their chicken or fries just right, it's a huge win—but if not, the signature dishes still hold the experience together.

Read moreYerps, folks – if Wisconsin had a love child with a Missouri mule, it'd be this Culver's in Springfield, serving up ButterBurgers that could make a Packers fan forgive a Bears victory. As a cheesehead transplanted south of the Mason-Dixon (don't ask, it involved a bad bet on the Brewers and a one-way ticket to the Ozarks), I rolled up to this joint last Saturday feelin' hungrier than a badger at an all-you-can-eat lutefisk buffet. And let me tell ya, it was a polka-dancin' dream from the get-go!
First off, the parking? Ample as a dairy farm's manure spread – I snagged a spot right up front without circlin' like a vulture over a cheese curd. No parallel parkin' nightmares here; just pull in, grab your overalls, and mosey on in. It's like they knew us Wisconsinites get cranky without our space to stretch our flannel-clad legs.
The staff? Friendlier than a wave from the Dells water-ski team. My server, a gal with a smile brighter than a Lambeau Field spotlight, called me "hun" and remembered my order for extra cheese without me utterin' a peep. She even tossed in a free custard sample 'cause I mentioned missin' the brats back home. These folks treat ya like family – the kind that'd share their last wheel of cheddar without battin' an eye. If kindness was a concrete, this place poured it thick.
And the prices? Affordable as a Friday fish fry at the VFW – I walked out with a double ButterBurger, crinkle-cut fries drownin' in butter, and a concrete mixer swirled with hot fudge for under 15 bucks. Cheaper than gas to drive back to the Dairy State, and twice as satisfyin'. Who needs caviar when ya got cheese curds that squeak like a happy mouse in a wheel of Muenster?
Culver's in Springfield, ya nailed it – keep slingin' that Wisconsin magic in the heart of Missouri, and I'll be back faster than you can say "sour kraut on the side." Five stars, a supermoon-sized scoop of gratitude, and a tip o' the...
Read moreFood is always good quality. Stingy on sauces, especially after spending over $30 on two meals. My complaint is the staff, Kenya working the drive through was rude, dry had no enthusiasm and not polite at all. Kids these days🙄 rude took my card without even greeting me when I pulled to the window, then told me to pull forward without giving me my card back, so I asked for my card back before moving forward and she ripped it out the machine rolled her eyes then gave it to me. The car infront of me waiting had received their food and they were pulling out, so naturally I moved up so other cars had room, and Kenya was walking out and muttered something about me moving as she was walking to my car, I was unaware she was walking to me as she didnt have any food in her hand. Then when she got to my car window, she said "I need your card again" rudely! I asked why? As she already ran it? She didnt respond, so I then said did it not go through? And she said yep. Grabbed my card and walked off. When she came back to give me my card she didnt say a word, no thank you, nothing. Terrible attitude. She is not a good representation of this establishment and I will avoid this culvers in the future. This isnt the first time I've dealt with...
