Town & Country Shopping Center — Local services in Springfield

I've been a regular shopper to several businesses in this shopping center for the last 8 or 9 years, not only out of the convenience of the location from where I reside, but also because it has a good variety of reputable restaurants and stores that I am loyal to. There are two reasons that I can't give 5 stars however. One being the complete lack of bicycle racks and nowhere to secure a bicycle with a lock anywhere on the premises. The second is that the amount of people who appear to be living and sleeping throughout the walkway and between the businesses has substancially grown and resulted in a lot of trash and junk piling up and lowering the aesthetic curb appeal. I normally shop once every 2 weeks starting at the vape store and working my way towards the other end stopping in at Sally's beauty supply, then the council of the blind thrift store, puff and stuff, and ending at the braums which sits separately and near the road past the end of the shopping center. It seems like I can't make it to the thrift store though before someone is begging me for a cigarette or money as I travel from business to business. I don't even smoke cigarettes myself, but several times the people who ask me for one have gotten extremely rude towards me when I let them know that I don't smoke. I've been bringing my dog kids to Dr. Smith for a long time now & love this place. Her prices are lower than any other Vet I've checked with, that's why their very busy. But lower prices does NOT mean lower care. She is extremely knowledgeable & very nice. She will gladly explain anything you might not understand. I've even asked her advice about adding a second dog to my one dog family. In 2014 my Doberman, Kai, had to be put to sleep, he was almost 14 years old & had a problem that couldn't be fixed. He would have suffered. A friend helped me bring Kai to her in his van. She actually came out to the van to examine him. And when it was time she brought the injection out to the van. I was able to lay beside him, tell him how much I love him & hold him as he peacefully went to sleep. I only had to go inside to pay, couldn't stop crying. I will forever be grateful to her for that.
