Probably one of the worst, if not the WORST insurance company I have ever had. I’m a student at umass and I submitted my paperwork with PROOF of my own insurance, Wellfleet REFUSED to accept the paperwork from Health New England and removed my health insurance with them (Health New England is amazing) and replaced it with this subpar insurance that barely covers my medication. I cannot afford the prices Wellfleet wants me to pay. It was bold of the company to send me medication recommendations to change one of my meds from a non ssri to an ssri. The medication is completely different. Today while trying to fill medication I was rejected by Wellfleet because they refused to cover the costs of an inhaler I’ve been using for years. I’ve never been so upset over health insurance before, but this company takes the cake. I’m not one to write lengthy reviews but this one...

Worst insurance company I’ve ever had.

They denied receiving a prior authorization form that had been sent numerous times by my neurologist and PCP and another doctor for over a month. Anytime I’d call they’d give me a fake phone number to a different insurance company or the Medicaid office. They wouldn’t respond to emails. If I didn’t have an emergency stash of seizure meds I wouldn’t have had a lapse in medication which could have resulted in uncontrolled seizures, coma, brain damage, and or death.

They also decided to require a PA form for the anxiety meds I’m on for 2024 and didn’t notify me of that. So when doing my typical monthly refill I wasn’t able to get the meds I’ve been on for two years. And am currently having a lapse in those while I wait for my doctor and the insurance company to figure out...
