The Produce Stand (Mark's Place) — Local services in Spruce Pine

As I have been coming to Spruce pine to lend a hand as a volunteer with the state defense force here in North Carolina, I pass this stand several times and sells beautiful trees and decided to stop. I was greeted without feeling rushed by the proprietor who informed me that this was a family farm. Thinking about the predicament that farmers are in I decided to buy three trees. After the personal service I received as well as the fair price I decided that not only was it the only place I would ever go for a tree I decided that I would tell people about the great experience I had and the wonderful people here. After reading other reviews I had high expectations of a fully stocked produce market with a wide variety of fruits and veggies. Was looking forward to Amish breads too. Unfortunately the place felt pretty sparce. The only green peppers to be seen were spoiled and I didn't see any bread at all. I'm thinking maybe I caught them on an off day (it was a Tuesday)? I was able to pick up a few of the basic things on my list and was excited to buy farm fresh eggs. The eggs and the few items I bought were very, very reasonably priced. I'd give this place another shot next time I'm in the area. We all have bad days...even...

Mark and Melanie: It's hard to find people like these two, just a friendly family atmosphere and they have the best produce and other variety of items also. Not been able to drop by as often this summer as i have in the past. They are very caring people and second to none.Thanks Mark and Melanie for being so nice and helpful to me and my family over the years.If anyone has never stopped by THE PRODUCE STAND they don't know what they are missing. TOP NOTCH in my book...
