Early Aug of 2023, I purchased black cabinets(9 total), or at least that's what I thought I had purchased for $3500. When I picked them up and got them home, I had 8 beige boxes and shelves and 9 black doors. I immediately called the St Ann,Mo store and spoke to Richard( the consultant who sold me my order. I explained how I didn't get what I asked for nor purchased. He goes on to tell me that I needed to purchased several items to make the cabinets look black😳. I said that wasn't discussed or mentioned to me by you at the time of purchase. I had to make 5 total return trips to Menards because I was missing items to complete my cabinets or the wrong part was ordered. I asked several people at the store if I could get some kind of monetary compensation since I'm having to pay someone( TOTAL OF $2000) to keep returning to my home to finish working on the cabinets. Everyone kept telling me no but I can email customers service. So I did email customer service and was placed in contact with a guy name Ray responded with this.." It's my responsibility to check all items before leaving the store". I said and it's the consultant responsibility to make sure that I'm adequately being charged for the correct items in which i ordered. He then said there's nothing that can be done as Menards has the lowest prices in town. I stated that I was being brushed off and wanted to speak with a manager or higher up. He stop responding to my emails. So rude and unprofessional. To know this is how Menards allow their representatives act towards customers is sad! I am a first time homeowner and decided to go with Menards because they had the fastest turn around time on cabinet delivery. But knowing what I know now, I wish I kept my $5500. I felt taking advantage of. I won't recommend Menards to anyone. It's sad this how customers get treated when they spend their hard earned savings/ money. Sincerely...
Read moreTo begin, not a single staff member said hello or even do much as smiled or made eye contact. Even though that's off-putting, that isn't the reason I rated one star.
I had ever intention of buying everything I needed to renovate my recently destroyed bathroom. Flooring, wall time, vanity, cabinets, everything.
I asked three different staff members for help four different times. The first time I was completely ignored by two staff members and they started walking away from me after I told them I had a question. I even said "Pardon me!" as they walked away. I just moved on.
After I picked out the vanity and cabinet set, I had a question about ordering. I went to the little help desk but they guy was on his cell phone and walked away when I approached. I waited by the help desk as he paced up and down the aisle talking quietly on his cell phone until I just gave up after about five minutes.
I lasted saw the another guy at the help desk but as I approached he picked up the phone to make a call and didn't even acknowledge me in any way. These were both the staff members that ignores me in the beginning.
I gave up on getting a vanity set or cabinets (I'll go to Hoods) and went to the flooring section to get a specific type of flooring that a family member recently purchased. The only staff member I found there ignored me when I asked for assistance getting the flooring and quickly walked away when I called after him, which seems to be a common theme.
Suggestion: Don't blow off and ignore a customer willing to spend a hefty amount of money. I will not be purchasing ANYTHING from this Menard's. I'd rather pay more somewhere where the staff will actually help me.
Side note, it was a Tuesday mid morning, so there were more staff than customers...

I placed an order online for local delivery. The tracking still says on the way and its been 12 days and still have not received my purchases. When I called the store (I have spoken to 5 or 6 people now) they said the order was delivered by door dash and sent a picture of the delivery. (never got confirmation of delivery either like I always get.) It still does not say delivered and the picture of my items that they said were delivered are outside the gate by the road of our facility over 500 yards away from the actual facility and no where near the door. They were clearly stolen and even though I did NOT PURCHASE FROM DOOR DASH they are telling me I cannot get a refund because Door Dash refuses to comp them for the delivery. I was told I would still get my items by one of the managers then was called back by a regular employee who told me they actually were not going to refund me or deliver my items. I was supposed to get another call today. Still nothing. We do thousands of dollars of business with Menards in St. Ann regularly and cannot believe they are willing to lose our business over an issue they are having with Door Dash. We are a small family business and though this order was only about $250 (which is nothing to a big corporation like Menards or Door Dash,) that makes a difference to a small business.
