I arrived at this location about 4pm. I went inside the mostly vacant restaurant to order. There was an African American family of 4 that had just finished ordering. A young Caucasian man took my order next-A chicken strip combo, with 2 additional tacos. I paid for my to go order and took a seat. Behind me, an elderly African American woman ordered her food, which included tacos as well. After she completed her order, she took a seat in the dining room as well. At this point, everyone was patiently waiting on their food. Ten minutes on my watch had passed and the family of 4 had still not been served. To complicate the process, the mother of the family approached the counter and asked to have her tacos made fresh. Overhearing the demand for fresh tacos, the elderly woman approached the counter demanding the same. The young man tried reasoning with the two women, saying the tacos under the warmer were on timers and still fresh. This didn't please the women, so he had to make more tacos. I saw him retreat to the back, and never saw him until he began assembling the order of the family of four. A Caucasion family had come in and had been standing at the counter and he didn't acknowledge them whatsoever. Another woman, who was African American and appeared to be in charge between front line and drive-thru, had to call and confront the young man on the front line in front of customers for not assembling orders in a timely manner. She then turned her attention to the Caucasian family that had been standing at the counter ready to order and explained that she had orders ahead of them and to wait patiently until she completed the orders in front of them. She didn't appear apologetic, but rather more dismissive of them having to wait. Most fast food establishments I know would offer at least a discount for waiting or at least drink cups while they waited. This was not the case and the family ended up leaving without ordering. This STILL left the African American family, myself, and the elderly African American woman without food. The drive-thru/front counter manager, I observed, was extremely friendly and attentive to the family and elderly woman. She made every effort to get them fresh tacos, telling the woman constantly "I got you, I got you," but made absolutely no acknowledgement to me and I was sitting at the table directly IN FRONT OF THE COUNTER. I had to walk up to the counter and ask when I was going to get my order after seeing both women get their orders. The manager then blatantly accused me of yelling at her when I didn't, while giving me the choice of having my money returned to me or waiting until I received my order. Is this how Jack In The Box treats its customers who have been waiting? Honestly, I walked out of the restaurant, bag in hand, but feeling that maybe if I was African American I wouldn't have been treated so rudely by this manager and might have gotten my order sooner. I wondered if the Caucasion family were African American, if they would've been better accommodated for their wait at the counter. The food itself was cold and rubbery and I was not given a receipt. I realize restaurants get busy, but the manner in which the manager conducted herself toward my waiting longer than required was very rude and discriminatory. After looking at the rating this restaurant has received(2 out of 5 stars), I feel as though now that I am not the only one who has experienced terrible service at this restaurant and ask that the manager and order service...

I have tried the butter jack on 2 other occasions the first was at a different location and in my opinion it was one of the best burgers I've had from a fast food joint the second butter jack was purchased from this location on a different date and to my disappointment was barley edible with its stale buns crunch softened only by the run off of gease in its soggy burger box. Because of my fist experience with the fickle butter jack burger I was willing to gamble on a 3rd try and I crapped out! When I finally got my bag after paying for my order and trying to add 2 Resses pies to my order at the window after seeing it advertised at the widow but not on the drive thru menu I'm told no add ons at the window well ok I should have seen that as a sign of the tides so to speak but I pull up to the curb as asked to wait on my order for what turns out to be another 8 mins when it finally gets there it check my bag to see 2 tacos or something closely resembling tacos a smashed sourdough jack and my number 4 with cold curly fry . I go back through the drive thru and let them know my order is wrong I'm instructed to bring it to the window I pull around had the lady the bag with the items I didn't order and prepare to wait some more for my correct order the jack in the box employee then comes back to the window and tells me when she gave me the bag all the food was in the bag and she knows what she put in the bag so after being called a liar over a chicken sandwich and buttery jack Wich all things considered if I actually received it most likely would have been garbage I'm not feeling like jack in the box any longer and I request a refund another jack I'm the box employee comes to the window and says I won't be getting a refund and she is not allowed to take my food back like her fellow employee just did and closes the window in my face I sit there a good while waiting to see if she is seriously not going to give me my money back she just stares at me trough the window until 13 minutes later 6 st ann police officers speed onto the lot to inform me that the employees can not give me a refund ....
Read moreI have tried to come back to this location at multiple times during the day and night. Any time after 930/10pm there seems to be a shift change, the system is restarting (which is weird but I was thinking "maybe their systems are different than where I worked") or they just didn't answer. During the day the service takesa ridiculously long time and the food will be half hot half cold (fresh fries but not fresh tacos or vice versa). There were multiple times where I was told they were out of tacos, fries, nuggets. I put in a complaint to the corporate website, (which i hated doing.. I used to work fast food for 8 years. Then served until covid. I never put in complaints when food was just messed up, because I've been there and could tell it was a bad night. People make mistakes. But every other night became a bad night) when I found a piece of plastic inside my taco. It was apparently from whatever containers the lettuce comes in since it was a part of the label. Never heard back. The last time I tried I only received half of what I ordered.
If you can not properly stock all of your locations correctly, maybe close for a little bit. Transfer employees to nearby stores. I understand being shortstaffed, but this is beyond that. The Bridgeton location has my food fresh and its rare when my food is messed up. It doesn't make sense that this store got so bad like this.
Please understand that my anger is not with the employees. They are getting beat down every day when they are the few who are there to work. My anger and frustration is with upper management. Because there had to be some sort of sign in the decline of this store that they just let go on or overlooked for...
