I really love Popeyes and have been going for years. The flavor of the chicken brings me back. But this location does not do Popeyes justice and the service is absolutely horrible. Today I had the worst experience with Popeyes that I have ever had.
I understand that I came during the lunch rush hour but I was willing to wait. As I drove into the lot, it was flooded with cars and the drive thru overflowed out into the street. I decided to park and go inside to get my food. I turned to the app to order and pick up inside. Apparently this was a bad idea, as I just wasted my time putting everything I wanted in the cart, entering my payment information to get a connection error. The app told me to sign back in, so I did and tried 3 times until I gave up to order inside.
My experience did not get any better from here. As I ordered, the cashier went to make my order after I said each item instead of ringing me out fully. He made my order without gloves and threw my 3 orders of fries and 3 sandwiches in a large plastic bag...I found this odd as my fries were just in a large plastic bag that spilled and touched by the cashier. I told myself it is okay, it would get better right? I ordered the voodoo chicken as it looked really good! However, I was suprised when I received 5 peices of chicken with some hot sauce on it. I asked for bbq and honey mustard and did not get either. There was no green in it like in the picture either, just chicken and voodoo sauce. How dissapointing. I asked for a receipt but was told I could not have one as the machine was broken. I was clearly lied to as it was printing out as I asked for it. Certainly odd there.
I then went to get 3 drinks that came with the combos I had. However, the floor was wet and the soda machine was unusable because a pile of ice was under the machine. So I had to walking into a large puddle to get uniced tea for all 3 of my drinks. Since I was taking everything togo, I went to get lids for my drinks, none were found. I asked a cashier for lids...then finally left to go home and eat the food I just purchased. And yet another disappointment...and I know this is not the norm as I have gotten the chicken sandwich before but it was so saucy i had to used a napkin to take some sauce off. Both sides of the chicken was covered in sauce for all 3 of the sandwiches. I love Popeyes but so many things went wrong here that I hope that it improves. Read moreOrdered the 3 piece bonafide dinner with red beans and rice with a side of Cajun fries. Pulled up to the window and gave my payment. A couple of minutes later the girl at the window pretty much threw my order at me and closed the drive thru window. I noticed the bag seemed a little light and saw that my Cajun fries were not in the bag. So I pulled in a parking spot and walked inside. When I walk in I noticed that there are no less than 15 people working and only 2 people in line. However a manager and 3 other employees are huddled together at one register trying to figure something out and there 3 other girls standing on the other end of the front counter, one of them being the girl that threw my order at me in the drive thru window. These girls were just talking to each other about nothing work related (I heard their whole conversation) and not one of them offered to help any of the customer's in line. So I just walk straight up to the counter with my bag because the two in line in front of me told me to go ahead of them because i had an issue with my order. The girl that was working the drive thru saw me with my bag and walked straight to the back to avoid me. The manager came over after dealing with whatever was going on the cash register and asked me "what do you need?" And I said my Cajun fries that I ordered and showed the receipt. She walked away and did something else and after another minute or so she put the Cajun fries in a box dropped it in front of me and walked away. No apology or anything so after more than 5 minutes in the drive thru and 15 inside the store I let it go and headed home with my chicken that had cooled over the 20 minutes at the restaurant and my 5 minute drive home. When I opened my box to eat I found out that they also didn't give me the biscuit that comes with my dinner, which I love Popeyes biscuits and was not happy about it not being there. Read moreOrdered online outside of store. Said food should be ready in 4 minutes. Went inside in 2 minutes. Got inside realized I was hungry. Ordered 2 additional biscuits but, not before it took over 13 minutes of the employees looking at me to (at least 4) to acknowledge me or say hello. Employees were scattered everywhere running around doing nothing. No balance. The female at the register was ready to leave from being so annoyed. This was really my mess up. I let her staple the bag without checking. I got 2 spicy chicken sandwiches one without pickles and one with extra sauce. I ended up with both with pickles and one original with cheese. I would never order a chicken sandwich with cheese. My family aint that type of big backs. Ordered biscuits inside. There wasn't any biscuits then had to wait an additional 2 minutes for biscuits after my food was already done for 10 minutes. The macaroni was nasty and has been since July. You can pull up how many times I've ordered from Popeyes that I really keep giving the benefit of the doubt. I was really over Popeyes at this location but, my child wanted some. It was getting late and dark. I've been sick and just said I'll come to this location since it's closer. Now they won't answer the phones. Also, I've been sick as I said. I got inside and realized how good the food smelled. I haven't eaten anything solid In 4 days. I just wanted 1 wing. Why all don't sell single servings of chicken. lol. I really just wanted 1wing. I knew my stomach wouldn't handle that. But, anywhoo this is for another day. Let's keep it up about the service and why our food was wrong and nasty. Also I tried to just get a refund for the biscuits. The lady got mad at me and told me I have to go online. She did say it only takes a 1.5 minutes. Which is not bad.
