The Barkford — Local services in St. Ann

There needs to be an option of a hundred more stars to give. The Barkford has been the very best thing my dog has experienced and needed. Zora’s first day at “night care” (I work night shift and they offer day care at NIGHT how amazing right?!), we had a miscommunication with my expectation in care. The owner directly called me after I voiced my concern and got home from picking up Zora. He was so genuinely nice, caring, and empathetic. He was a fresh breath of air to talk to, which is becoming sadly more rare these days when talking to people regarding service expectations.

AND SO my low confident, high reactive puppy, scared of anything and everything would come home every day more and more confident. Healing from past trauma and fear of dogs attacking her. She became more vibrant and happy. It was such a beautiful transformation to witness, all from the Barkford properly socializing her and treating her so well. It was nice talking with them about how they have noticed the transformation as well. Oh my heart. I forever will love the staff at Barkford for their professional and pleasant service. You guys really are the best and deserve everything good in the world. Zora and I will always appreciate you all beyond words can say!

We’ve had the pleasure of entrusting The Barkford team with our beloved canine overlord, Eddie, on two separate occasions, and both experiences have been nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that The Barkford staff truly cares about their furry guests.

One standout feature is the free evaluation day. This not only allowed Eddie to acclimate to his new surroundings, but it also gave us a chance to connect with the staff and share insights about our adorable, albeit shy, little guy. The team took the time to understand Eddie’s unique personality, which gave us peace of mind knowing he was in capable hands.

The report cards we received after his stays were just adorable and incredibly informative. It was heartwarming to see how much attention and care they put into every detail of Eddie's experience. They even described him as a "People Dog," which couldn’t be more accurate!

The Barkford team is a perfect example of true dog lovers—each member is genuinely dedicated to the care, comfort, and protection of all their four-legged guests. We’ve witnessed how enriching and rewarding the time Eddie spends there is for him, and we couldn’t be happier.
