First impression was the place looks very nice on the inside! I liked the theme and the seating and the environment is great. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. The only reason this is not 5 stars is a couple small things. First they need single large ice cubes in the drinks like the old fashioned. Small chip ice will dilute a drink like that too fast. Secondly the drink tasted a bit too sweet in my opinion. It had a very nice taste but I feel that the rye was silenced by the simple syrup and the large amount of orange. I typically do go for bourbon and whiskey more towards 100-110 proof served neat as a personal preference. If a person reading this isn't used to that kind of bite they would likely enjoy the drinks at Iron Street. This is not a bad review or that I think badly of the place, just a couple personal opinions. If you guys came out with a stronger and or more aged bourbon or rye it would hit the spot for me personally. Thank you for the...
Read moreWent to Iron Street on Sunday, September 21st at noon because they were part of the FestiFall going on. As we entered the premises, we were given wristbands and were told that cocktails were only $7 as part of the event. We came in to watch a bit of the VIKINGS game, and there was a large screen TV that wasn't set up properly, so the picture was all wonky. So we ordered a couple cocktails and went to the back room where there was a smaller TV to watch the game. We finished our drinks and closed out our tab, and were charged $24 for 2 cocktails! I asked what happened to the $7 cocktails that we were told was the special. They said what we had weren't part of the "special!", so we left a tad pissed, and NOTHING was said or done to make it right! I guess when you aren't very busy, you need to make money however you can... The place was totally...
Read moreThis staff and ownership is second to none. We cannot say enough about how wonderful John and Laci were to work with. These two prioritize connection that is evident in every interaction we had with them. John, the owner, introduced himself to us on a winter Sunday afternoon and gave us a tour of the whole place right on the spot! Going forward, Laci and John were attentive, flexible, and considerate in all of our interactions.
We hosted our Groom's Dinner at Iron Street and gifted our groomsmen custom-labeled bourbon bottles the day of the wedding. We also ordered old fashions for the day of the wedding.
Laci and John went above and beyond in every facet of the process, from communication early on to personal service on the day of our event(s). Cannot recommend Iron Street enough for any event or a...
