To the St.Cloud JCP I would give zero stars if I could. Totally disappointed, frustrated, and fed up. At the beginning of November my husband and I went in to shop for a fridge and a couch because there were good sales on those items for Black Friday. We opened a JCP credit card, and ordered the fridge and couch we wanted (both great prices!). We left happy. The delivery for the fridge was set to be delivered in a week, the couch in 3 weeks. Not bad.
The next day we got a call saying the fridge order was messed up and would be delayed a week. Not the greatest, but not the worst. Fridge came in 2 weeks and we were happy with how it looked/worked.
3 weeks went by, and still no delivery on the couch. Went to the store, and after looking for quite some time found someone to ask about the order status on the couch (we never got info for how to track the status of our order, and also no confirmation email for it in those 3 weeks, so I was concerned). The woman told me that it âactually takes 4 weeksâ. Still didnât get it at the 4 week mark. Went back, and was told by a different person, âThatâs odd. If you donât get it in 6 weeks you should be concerned.â Almost at the 2-month mark now and still no couch... (at one point they called the manufacturer to make sure that they actually received our order, which they did).
Since we got numerous $10 in-store credits for our purchases, we decided to use the credits toward curtains. Ordered those in-store, and 4 days later received an email saying our order was cancelled because our payment method (our JCP credit card) was not âapproved.â Iâm sorry, but if I can order a couch and a fridge on the credit card, there should be no reason why I canât also order curtains. Not only that, I had used the same card in a transaction 5 minutes after the curtains, that was approved. The email had a phone number to call to straighten things out... there was a 47 minute wait.
Ridiculous. Just ridiculous. I understand that there are more orders close to the holidays and things may be behind schedule, but screw ups on every order weâve made, and shipment schedules nearly 3 times longer than promised is unacceptable. Hopefully our recent experiences with JCP are just flukes, however once we get the curtain ordeal straightened out, we have SERIOUS doubts as to whether or not we will...
Read moreI was in yesterday and a manager took it upon herself to take two employees to the middle of the sales floor to belittle them about clothes being on the wrong rack. (In a very sparse clearance section I might add, where it's not uncommon to find sizes a bit mixed from customers browsing and whatnot) She started off by saying "I'm not saying it's you, but tell me if you see anyone doing this because it must've happened tonight." As if you can pin point after a full day of customers when a few items of clothing were moved out of place. She went on to say "if you don't know where things go, just tell me" again in a condescending tone and then fully told both employees "if you can't just learn to do it right then I can easily find someone else who can" obviously threatening their jobs, loudly and in front of at least 3 nearby customers. I found this extremely disgusting behavior on behalf of the manager as she went out of her way to belittle and embarrass those employees in front of customers when they were maybe 10 paces from a back room when she asked to speak with them to begin with. It left a really bad taste in my mouth that such a common issue was used to put on a power play in front of customers and it really soured my experience, and other...
Read moreHad family pictures taken in the photo studio. We arrived on time and yet they RUSHED us through the process. The pictures were terrible. We received no direction while taking the photos, were not given advice to turn our heads, adjust, etc so the posing would look good. Almost all the pictures of my son he look like we just told him grandma & grandpa died. He is only 2.5y/o and was warming up to the process by the end- but did the photographer let us know he was frowning in all the earlier pictures? No. One of them he doesn't even have his eyes open! The only photo I did like was blurry upon closer inspection, and we did NOT get photos like the package we chose. This is a very expensive service and I think I'll be calling to refund/return the digital album. We got $70 off and for 17 terrible pics it was still $170 for the digital copies-which again, are not something I want printed and hung in my house. So, so disappointed. If this was a good experience, we would have been coming back a lot. Will be actively dissuading friends/family...
